In your blog post it says:

but when I visit the download page it still gives 17.1 as RELEASE...

Yes, depending on what part of the world you are in, the mirror sites may still be updating. Give it another hour or so. Here in Australia I am still showing v17.1 for most of the OS downloads.

I'm getting 17.2 on all the Kodi Mirrors... but your DOWNLOAD page still displays and links to the OLD 17.1 - it appears that no one updated that manually. Might want to fix that since ALL Kodi users go there to get Kodi... and that's what the blog post said as blingblong said above.
