MCE remote buttons don't function - WillPittenger - 2017-11-18

I'd at least like to get the back and forward skip buttons working.  As is, they do nothing.  Though that's better than before I run the MCE Remote addon with it's default settings.

I also can't figure out how to delete shows using the remote.  I'm used to Windows Media Center.  Both that and my previous TiVo would offer to delete shows when I reached the end of the video.  But Kodi doesn't.

To allow deletion, it needs to be enabled in settings... http://kodi.wiki/view/Settings/Media/General#Allow_file_renaming_and_deletion

This won't ask you at the end of the episode to delete, it just gives the ability to delete from within Kodi.

It's already set.  I've been able to delete via the context menu.  But I can't access it via the remote.

It depends on your Remote.

I have two Windows RC6 remotes by different manufacturers. Not all buttons have the same function between the two, but for the Context Menu they do. In the image it is the Guide button directly above the number buttons second from left. It may be different for you.

My remote is http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA0AJ16K6147. I managed to find the context menu by holding down the OK button. However, I'd still like to map the back and forward skip buttons. As noted in the topic, those don't work.
