Remind me: Log name(s) & location(s) to posts for crashes? - jeremymc7 - 2008-04-19

Someone remind me what files and where they are located that I need to submit for crashes.

The OSXBMC Wiki doesn't have it, and I've spent 20 min try to find it in the forum and general XBMC wiki.

I know someone remembers this offhand.

Thanks.

Couldn't find the specifics in the sticky. Must had missed it. Still not sure where /var/tmp/xbmc.log is located though. Don't see it in spotlight or user data.

you won't find it in spotlight.
Step 1:
open terminal
Step 2:
cd /var/tmp
Step 3:
open .
Step 4:
Huh
Step 5:
Profit!

So step, four and five are what now? How do I see/copy the log out of terminal to somewhere that it's viewable in the GUI and can be attached/uploaded?

Thanks, some of us are just not terminal smart.

step 3 "open ." will open "/var/tmp" in finder. You will find xbmc.log in there

In finder:

Go->Go to Folder...

Type in /var/tmp

xbmc.log will be there
