Mac desktop in 1080i? Look ok? - bearcat2000 - 2008-05-10

Just wondering if I bought a wireless keyboard/mouse to use when I hook up a mini to my TV if when it is in 1080i format, will the desktop look halfway clear and usable? Thanks in advance.

Looks fine to me. I find the font to small so I use 1280x720 on a 52" Samsung LCD. It would be nice to have resolution independence or whatever the term is.

If you have developer tools installed you could play arount with Quarts Debug.app, it can change OS XConfused DPI to anything. It's now flawless, finder looks littlebit ugly but It works somekind. Also for alternative there is some apps to change all font sizes in system..

Running a computer at 1080i doesn't look good on TV's because 1080i is interlaced. Basically every other line is off. I would suggest using 720p with your computer if your TV can't do 1080p.
