Hi,
You should use apt: links so that people can install the packages right away after adding the repository. More info here: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/AptUrl
To get your program to appear in Add/Remove, you can follow these instructions: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/GnomeAppInstallDesktopDatabaseAdd

has the daily build ppa been reinstated? I'm not seeing it in the list but then I don't know if there's something special I have to do.

Sorry, it states:

XBMC:
depends: xbmc-common but is not going to be installed
depends: xbmc-skin-pm3-hd but is not going to be installed
depends: xbmc-web-pm3 but it is not going to be installed
Any help with this would be great! Thanks!
