- teoh - 2009-02-11 18:57 My build is currently 8.10 SVN:16164, dated to 14th Nov. Is it correct that there haven't been a repack since that time? As far as I've heard there's been a lot of work done on the daily SVN's. Running Hardy. - wassabi - 2009-02-12 05:00 Which repository are you using? The latest stable release is 2008-11-14 https://edge.launchpad.net/~team-xbmc-hardy/+archive/ppa If using the daily repositories, you would have a more current date. https://edge.launchpad.net/~team-xbmc-svn/+archive/ppa - vibe7 - 2009-02-13 13:36 When i try to install its giving bellow errors, help is much appreciated Could not download all repository indexes The repository may no longer be available or could not be contacted because of network problems. If available an older version of the failed index will be used. Otherwise the repository will be ignored. Check your network connection and ensure the repository address in the preferences is correct. Failed to fetch http://ppa.launchpad.net/team-xbmc-hardy/ppa/ubuntu/dists/hardy/mai/source/Sources.gz 404 Not Found Some index files failed to download, they have been ignored, or old ones used instead. - queeup - 2009-02-21 15:54 xbmc-third-parties package need to be updated. SVN Repo Installer 1.4 released. And pls correct /usr/share/xbmc/system/favourites.xml file. Code: thumb="Q:\plugins\programs\SVN Repo Installer\default.tbn"btw thx for your good work. i really like your svn repo. - Azzir - 2009-02-22 03:45 wookietv Wrote:hi- i just started using ubuntu a few weeks ago, with the end goal in making it a media center. so i was recommended to try xbmc, and i got it loaded up fine. the problem i'm having is that it runs very slow. and i'm not talking about videos, music, etc... i'm just talking about the app. the mouse stutters across the application, on the main page, the scrolling news item does not come out smoothly, but also stutters a bit each second.Hi There :-) Sounds as though you're having video card driver issues. I have an ATI 4870x2 and was experiencing the same issues as yourself until I enabled the proprietary ATI drivers specific to my card... now it's beautifully smooth ![]() Something else worth mentioning is that XBMC playback is infinitely superior to any other video playback application in Ubuntu (Iin my humble opinion anyway) Hope this is of some help! - LiquidRain - 2009-02-22 07:32 To the package maintainer: the Wii Remote event client requries libbluetooth2. However, my fully updated Intrepid only provides libbluetooth3. This breaks the dependancy check. Can you please look into it? (or should I compile it on my own?) edit: shoulda hunted around, since plenty of others have complained about it. Thanks for the hard work though! - queeup - 2009-02-28 03:55 Whats goin on with launchpad? Is it problem with Intrepid SVN packages? Launchpad acting weird in these days. - wattazoum - 2009-02-28 09:41 @LiquidRain: Are you using SVN PPA or stable ? I have fixed it on SVN PPA. The fix on stable will come soon. @queeup: what is happening to Launchpad ? - wattazoum - 2009-02-28 20:12 Fix done on intrepid. - queeup - 2009-02-28 20:54 ooo nice thx. intrepid compiled atm keep going...
