I hope these posts from one person don't discourage you from continuing development on this app. I was perfectly fine with paying a few bucks for this app and am looking forward to any upgrades you're planning.
Anyone who doesn't like the thought of paying a few bucks for the remote can just use the built-in XBMC web server on their iPhone via Safari.

The author has been quite the last month, so I've been checking his web site and yesterday he put up a news flash which he says an update is coming soon

That is great, thanks for letting us know here. I also noticed a PDF manual on the site, which may help solve the issue some of us are having with no art for movies/tv shows (it tells you what you should be using for the path). I am hoping, though, that upgrading to Atlantis Beta 2 will resolve this problem.

Im using b2 and have not noticed any issues with art work, it appears to be fine. Well fine with TV Shows and the banners coming up. I havent tried to see if the art work, works with movies....
My issue surrounds rotating the remote and having it freeze, i'll go into 'More' and the sub menu pops up, but the app freezes.

Can you play unrar'd content with the app? I have a source Downloads in my Videos sources and when I select something that is still rar'd it says no media available (or something long those lines).I will check exactly what it says when I get home.
The same rar'd TV show can be played fine if I use my keyboard and go through the menus and select it.

The answer is yes, and it won't be too far away.
What to expect:
- Redesigned remote that is driven by gestures. The gestures make the remote much more responsive and allows XBMC to be navigated much faster. For those prefering the buttons though that mode has also been retained.
- Caching of thumbnails.
- RAR Support
- Bug fixes for tab bar and unicode.

I am used to use XBMC with 'file' view. The library mode is just to much hassle for me. 'File' view is perfect!
Is it possible to use this app with the 'file' view instead of the 'library' view?

It is possible. But the solution is still buggy. I'm hoping this will be fixed in the upcoming version:

The price has dropped to $0.99 !! on the App Store. I just paid $5.00 a couple of weeks ago. This is the time to get it, if you haven't. It is still Version 1.0, but hopefully his update will come out soon.

question....I downloaded and installed this, but i can't get covers to show up in the list. They show after i pick a movie, but not in the list...just empty placeholder boxes. I've tried setting the directory per the manual...anyone have a clue?
correction: TV shows show the thumbs/banner fine...just movies aren't. I have vista x64, and have the dir on my itouch pointed to C:\users\evan\appdata\roaming\XBMC\userdata which is the directory, and its not working.
