Backdrop sharing and requests? - digitalhigh - 2008-07-31

I've been creating a lot of custom backdrops for Aeon/xbmc, and I'd like to share them with everybody. Seeing as how the Aeon threads move so quickly, I figured that I'd start a thread so that I can share the images as I create them, as well as tell everybody that if you have a backdrop you'd like created, let me know, and I'll be happy to whip one up.

On that note, here is the current compilation of all the backdrops I've done for the movies in my collection. Currently, they only cover movies with titles from #-S. The rest are to come.

So, here's my "alpha" backdrop collection. 170 backdrops (aeon friendly) at 1280x720. Most are images from the movie's website, cropped and edited to remove text and titles. Big Grin

Thanks for the info. I've contacted szsori, hopefully, we can get these up on his site today/tonight.

I know it's technically not a skin, but by all rights these were created for Aeon. I just figured that if people wanted to use them for something other than that one skin, they could.

Also, I didn't see a more applicable spot for me to post this. It's kind of in a grey area...

Thanks for all the great fanart. If you have not done so you should really add all of your tv fanart to thetvdb since it can be scraped by xbmc. I see you are a fan of Invader ZIM. I just put up some fanart/posters on thetvdb if anyone is interested in those. Cheers.

Sorry for the delay...I've actually had them done since Friday, but my weekend's been quite busy. Plus, with moviebackdrops.com, I had to name all of the files by their IMDB tags, which took a bit of time.

SO, this should be the rest of them. I hadn't currently planned on doing anything for games, but if there's something you'd like, let me know, and I'll definitely see what I can do for you.

Same goes with movies...I'm certain that there will be missing backdrops for movies you've got that I don't. So, if you need a specific movie (and it's not on moviebackdrops.com), let me know, and again, I'll whip something custom up for ya.

Oh...and here are the accompanying POSTERS for every movie in the set. The majority of them are designed to compliment the specific backdrop. A few of them are the same image as the backdrop, but most are different.

There are also a few movies in here that I haven't made backdrops for yet...just so you know. Because of the directory setup I use, every file here is named folder.jpg and is in a subfolder named after the movie. Easiest way to install them would be to just copy the folders and paste, making sure the names match the foldername you've got.

Aaaaahhhh...anyway, enjoy these as well. Big Grin
