If you have a windows based computer, sometimes thair network setting change.
In Vista, make sure your network is "private" and turn off your firewalls and test again.

not sure if this helps or is already posted but rite now im watch csi miami from my netflix queue at first it didnt play then i click the white button on my xbox controller and brought up settings n i switch to play using dvdplayer and it started 2 play, also i just updated 2 the latest verion of playon which is Version: 2.59.3497

update from watchin csi miami on playon played perfectly for the entire show after i finished tried watchin next episode and started after a few attempts switchin to dvd player but its playin rite now again

I broke down and plopped down the money for the PlayOn proxy and after giving it more horsepower than I used to found that it works relatively well with XBMC. Now I am running into the following symptom and do not know whether it is a PlayOn or XBMC issue (or my lack of proper operation). PlayOn shows up as a source in my menu and I can play files just fne. Now these files change over time (for example Revision 3 puts out new shows). It would appear as if these new shows are not reflected in XBMC. Are the titles somehow cached and need to be refreshed?
Might be a PlayOn issue or god-knows-what. Anyhow, my question - do UPnP devices some sort of scanning for new content?

I am running XBMC on Windows Server 2003 R2 - I am testing PlayOn UPnP Server to stream Netflix via XBMC.
I've noticed that the playback, especially during the first few minutes of play back is stutters quite a bit. During the entirety of playback there is a slight yet noticeable stutter in playback as well.
I have PlayOn video's quality setting set to "Auto" (The streaming video quality looks very good aside from the stutter). When running the Bandwidth and CPU test within PlayOn it shows green and my setup can handle the Max video quality.
Does XBMC's cache have anything to do with this?
Any thoughts on how/why my netflix playback stutters?

Having some issues with Playon and XBMC (on original Xbox). Playon is visible and I can see all the various sections, Hulu, Netflix, Youtube etc... If I click through into Hulu and then into my Queue I see my queued items okay, however when I try and play anything it doesn't do anything. This occurs for Netflix, Hulu etc, using both mplayer and dvdplayer.
Playon works great on a PS3 and Wii connected on the same network, the Playon server is on the same machine that XBMC pulls all it's videos from via SMB. Everything works fine except for Playon on XBMC.
EDIT: XBMC - Pictures and Music through the 'My Media (Beta)' section work fine, however Videos have the same problems as Hulu, Netflix etc.
EDIT 2: Installed the same build of XBMC on an Ubuntu laptop and it had no problem playing back hulu, 'My Media' videos etc. Although Netflix didn't work. Seems that the majority of the problems are with the xbox build of XBMC.

The issue is based around the biggest problem with PlayOn, it lets the connected device determine when it has cached enough of the stream to start play back.
It's a cop out, and could be easily resolved by the PlayOn devs, but they won't do it.... and it's the reason I sold my PlayOn license key and never looked back.

I just recently became a Netflix subscriber and I plan on taking advantage of the current $20 PlayOn app. I was going to get another XBox360 (arcade) primarily to stream Netflix, Hulu, etc. to my main TV, but I though maybe there was a plugin/script for this. I searched a few articles both here and on the net in general and can't get a clear answer.
Is there some type of guide to used PlayOn effectively for XBMC (XBox)?

Got this working with the trials..... so far so good. Haven't watched an entire movie as of yet, but the little bit of testing I could do, it's holding a stream much longer to my wireless adapter than any plug-in TV/movie site I've tried.

PlayOn was having some issues that I picked up by checking a msg that came through my 360. Once I patched to 3548.46, Hulu and Netflix were ok again, even on my XBox1 wireless, where I typically can't play other video plug-ins of any great length.
