I have Netflix through PlayOn working with the TC3H Jan 17 build with mplayer. I have the video lan cache set to 4096Kb. I also have to have PlayOn running in user mode for Hulu to work for me.

I read that you can use playOn on any DLNA compatible HDTV, is this true?
Something I am very interested in, can you run playon remotely. i.e from a hard drive connected to a DLNA compatible wireless router while having the PC off and then stream XBMC to a DLNA compatible TV? Surely this should be possible as you could setup the playOn software on the PC before hand and then run a script or something on the hard drive connected to the router and then access it all on the HDTV, is that possible?

Well, they are responsive, and I like the functionality (I have it streaming from my WHS through my WDTV-Live, pending getting XBMC set up). But they are moving to a subscription model for a new "premium version", and many of the early adopters feel its unfortunate because they thought the $29.99 or $19.99 purchase price included all future updates. Its unclear just how much differentiation will be between the "basic version" everyone has bought and the "premium version"; I guess Comedy Central will only be part of the subscription model (or perhaps just the Daily Show and Colbert Report). The annual subscription is $4.99 for the first year for them, then $19.99 per year thereafter. For new subscribers its $19.99 per year as of right now.
I think XBMC has a better future with plugins and scripts to handle the same things Playon handles.

I have PlayOn installed on my desktop and am still running XBMC on original XBOX. Hulu works great but I've signed up for Netflix and it won't stream any of their stuff. Is anyone streaming to the XBOX w/ Netflix through PlayOn?

I have playon running on my PC. My Xbox picks up the playon UPnP just fine. I watch Netflix with no problem.

T3CH XBMC 2009-06-01 9.04.1-FIXED-Babylon - Which is the last stable one available. And from the looks of things the last one we are getting for the Xbox

I just can't stream anything from Netflix, Hulu works great but no Netflix. But my T3CH version is probably 3 years old so once I update I'll check it out.
