Hello,
my setup is NAS→1Gbps ethernet → Nvidia shield 2019 X1+ →18Gbps hdmi →AVR-X3500H →Samsung 4K TV / Optoma UHD42
Latest Kodi on shield with nfs connection to nas and a2.0TB usb3.0 drive directly connected.
My Kodi setup is expert , system →video → 3840x2160/59,94
Audio passthrough with every option enabled.
When playing a demo Atmos video file (777.mkv or helicopter.mkv), it starts and the receiver detects the atmos audio signal, then it stops for a few seconds, restarts and after 15-30 seconds a cogwheel appears that kodi is buffering. (very slowly)
This happens when playing from local harddrive and from network.
Has anybody expreienced this too and perhaps a solution ?

Hello,
because I wanted to post also the log files, I started the shield again, turned on the log files and mysteriously the buffering seems gone.
Even the NAS connection works again.
I'm sorry I posted this too soon.
