IPTV Simple Client refuses to properly refresh the IPTV .m3u and .xmltv files from my ISP. Any combination and/or sequence of the following, reloads/imports the exact same, old, files.

I checked the other backends at the Kodi Wiki, but they all seem to be for a specific service. Not a vanilla/virgin backend like IPTV Simple Client.
Any alternatives?

Have you tried switching off file caching in iptvsimple? Then it should pull new files each time. Likely your ISP is mis-reporting the modified date of the files and that’s why it’s not pulling the latest versions.
