[ATV] Save network share passwords - Saracen - 2008-11-21

I have a shared directory on a windows server (using a domain controller). I am able to navigate the shared directories once I have entered the appropriate username and password. I then add the shared drive to my content locations (for videos). If I come back to folder I have to enter the username and password every time.

Is there a way to store the username and password? I did find something in the settings -> network but that didn't work.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Saracen

I don't think that XBMC works in a domain environment. Workgroup, yes.
But I have never attempted it in a domain at all.

OK, Thanks. I'll try and figure out another way to do it, at the moment I have a little cronjob/scheduled task that copies files to the ATV each night (sync's two directories). I could skip this if the remote directory on the server were available to ATV. I have a 250Gb hard drive in my ATV so space is not an issue at the moment!
