The laptop you lost, did you really purchase it only to develop the skin? If not than I really disagree with asking forum members for money to replace it.

But again, I'm not stopping anyone from donating if that's what they want. I guess people are just that impatient that they can't wait a bit longer. It's their choice. Your work is good so if they feel that way than sure they should donate, why not right?

As for donating, at the end of the day its a skin and I don't think anyone can be ransomed into donating if they don't want to. If you said donate or development will stop and just say "Fine, on to the next skin".

On the other hand if I want to show my appreciation for something I use, then thats my call.

I TOTALLY understand and respect where Jezz_X is coming from. We've fallen out big time, and I daresay that the friendship we had will never be restored. From a personal perspective, I (with my team) spent an entire year of our lives creating something which would be free for the community to use. We did it off our own backs, we did it with our own time and we did it for free.

XB2iris, I totally get the fact that you love what you do, and that you want to provide something that the community can use. However, I really disagree with approaching people for money to replace something that would have died at some stage anyway. Someone has already mentioned that I'm sure you didnt just use your PC for designing. I would never dream of asking people to fund a new PC, just so that I can continue working on a hobby.

Perhaps it would be better to get a blog and drop a donation button onto it.

While I see no problem in having the choice of donating to someone, I don't like to be asked repeatedly. At this point though I think enough has been said about this particular issue. xb2iris has stated that he was simply frustrated and stressed out.
