Audio-only/headless mode? - Fry-kun - 2008-12-08
Hi everyone,
I just downloaded a copy of xbmc and playing with it for the first time today.
I have a question: is it possible to run xbmc in headless mode or with a very small secondary screen?
To elaborate:
I'm setting up an HTPC. Among other things I want to use it to listen to my music. But I don't want to have to turn on the TV just for that.
I was thinking of installing a secondary screen into an available 5.25" bay - this way I would be able to get some feedback from xbmc -- but the question is, does it support something like that? Or would I need to write my own plugin/extension/etc.?

We support character lcd/vfd through lcdproc. You can use the web interface to choose tracks/build playlists.
