720x1080 only relates to posters, and only if you want a perfect fit. 1920x1080 is still the optimum for fanart.

So, now everybody's starting to say 720x1080 instead of 729x1080??

Which is it?

I've just started getting alot of thumbnails and making them exactly 729x1080 (74 posters already) and wondering if they're now considered wrong?

Is 729x1080 (or 720x1080) the minimum size or maximum size? what i mean is, is it best to get at 1080 heights, or best to download the 1000x1500 posters? Currently, i have been downloading posters anywhere between heights of 1500 and 3000, but have been resizing to 1080?

I also started resizing to 729x1080 and also hope this was correct Smile
By the way... i used Automator (OSX) but am not 100% safisfied because it left over a little (1px width) gray border on the left and the right side.
Does anybody else use Automator? Would be great if somebody got the script working better and could post it here or pm me (maybe pm would be better Smile )
Or discribe an other method to do it on a Mac Smile with a free programm Smile

thx a lot

djh so when you say posters you are referring to the posters to be used as the thumbs right? Sorry if this is a dumb question...

Thumbs and full size posters used by the info views. And it's 729, not 720 - I was derailed by some other wrong person.

Video flagging just hit svn.

It's still just in the hdflagging branch..

@mrt2: You're correct, from what I understand you'll want your posters to be 729x1080 not because the thumbs in showcase actually need them that large but when info view activates it will look like this.
Image

Fanart will most likely be a backdrop type thing or optional info view (not sure about the option info view part) and that's why it'll need to be 1920x1080 in order to fill the screen.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

BTW you guys know they have tools for multi image resizing. You should use something like "resize'em all" for Mac or something similar for Windows if you can.

With all this talk about Movie posters, is anyone going to decide on a standard size for TV posters (or banners). I know people argue about widecase or normal 1:1.5 ratio.

I noticed that sirreef has uploaded some on getvideoartwork.com that are in a 1x1 ratio (thanks alot for all your great work over there sirreef), and was wondering if thats going to be standard?

What plans do you have for this in Aeon (sorry I this was discussed earlier).

doh! I guess I jumped the gun on that one Wink

I"m so happy to see the you gave us a "sort" of wall view since it initially sounded like there wouldn't be one. Too bad i will have to wait for a xbox mod of the skin to come out even after aeon is released. (I don't have blu-ray or hd content so the xbox 100% meets my needs.)

- Arkon11 - 2009-02-23

Yeah I'm excited about Aeon too, sadly I use an xbox aswell (but am dreaming up a HTPC as soon as I can afford it)

Anyhow, any word on TV Show art?

- ethan_9219 - 2009-02-23

Just wondering, are there any standards/formats etc. for music album art? I mean, more specifically, a minimum or best resolution for in Aeon?

- Arkon11 - 2009-02-23

judging from whats uploaded on getvideoartwork.com (which isn't affiliated with Aeon as far as I know) all the artwork on there is a 1x1 ratio, and is 600x600 px+ (1000x1000 preferred)

- ethan_9219 - 2009-02-23

Okay....but nobody knows how Aeon uses music album art yet? I mean, size-wise? e.g fullscreen etc?
