- Sora - 2009-03-04 00:23 XBMC's skin engine should be the same on every supported platform so there is no need to test it under all the different versions of Windows, Macintosh and Linux. For those people crying out loud about Plex... . The same holds true for Plex. I'm not a Plex user but the developers have stated numerous times that they will keep the skin engine compatible with XBMC. djh has stated numerous times Stark is being developed for the HD HTPC so any XBMC HTPC capable of running HD will have enough power for Stark. Again, no need to test it on every CPU out there. The way I see it... . The beta is aimed at finding bugs in the skin and is not directly XBMC/hardware related. What this means? It doesn't care with OS or PC/laptop you have as long as it does HD within XBMC. djh has stated numerous times how beta testers will be chosen. No need to parade with your system and installed OS’s. Sorry but I had to say this. I'm following these threads for some time now and it just sickens me how people sometimes behave. Sure, I would want to play with Stark. But it's done when it's done. If you're not chosen to be a beta tester, so be it. You'll rather want the release version anyway. All that rests me to say is, good luck djh we believe in you. I've couldn't have chosen a better release date then my own birthday. - freezy - 2009-03-04 01:43 ack. also think about the poor souls getting an notification email each time you need to post your excitement. - djh_ - 2009-03-04 05:50 Some 1080p screens, just for the helluvit... http://www.aeonproject.com/dropbin/aeon1080_showcase1.jpg http://www.aeonproject.com/dropbin/aeon1080_home1.jpg http://www.aeonproject.com/dropbin/aeon1080_wall1.jpg http://www.aeonproject.com/dropbin/aeon1080_info1.jpg - jtap06 - 2009-03-04 05:55 djh_ Wrote:Some 1080p screens, just for the helluvit... Thank you! Looks absolutely great. Sora - you need to chill out.
- djh_ - 2009-03-04 06:05 Probably best you ignore the rather random menu in that info screen. I must have messed up a string or two. - eQUIV - 2009-03-04 06:57 djh_ Wrote:The emulator info screens were just mockups, unfortunately, though I think they were republished elsewhere which has lead to some confusion. XBMC doesn't have a game library. Ah poop. Well the mockups look great, I look forward to the day when these become reality. They look great. Plus it would be great for my gf, she loves playing old Snes games but isn't great at running most of these emulator programs. Simple interfaces are her friend. Not to fall of topic, but does anyone know of a really good emulator launcher/front end? If so please PM me. - paul - 2009-03-04 07:32 djh_ Wrote:Probably best you ignore the rather random menu in that info screen. Getting very excited for this. My Samsung 52' 650 needs this skin. - Keane16 - 2009-03-04 16:16 pletopia Wrote:i've read that one of the latest builds of plex broke compatability Yeah this is true. They (Plex devs) added a new feature (the appstore) which means skins need to be tweaked slightly to be be fully compatible. They still work 'out the box', but there will a few (from what I can tell minor) bits missing (all appstore related, so all the library stuff should be just fine). Looking forward to this finally being released. Horizonz is filling a hole (nicely) until then! Feels like yesterday when Aeon: Aplha 14 was released. So much work in such a short space of time, when you think it was predominantly by one person (who no doubt has a job, family, social life etc). Well done djh_ (and the others that helped along the way). |
