Is not playing any videos for me. If it's just me, will post the debug log. Can anyone confirm? Thanks.

In fact, geo wild is workin.

I see the problem. The website changed a little. I'll post the update soon.

Any progress on the update? Some videos work for me, but not other full episodes like the Explorer or Titanic.

Checking again, it looks like both National Geographic and Nat Geo Wild both have most videos fail. Taking a few minutes, I can not find one that works now. Hopefully it can be fixed easily.

Sorry, but it's not going to be an easy fix. Some of the videos are using a weird type of authentication and they're mixed up with the working videos. I also just noticed some of the working videos have incorrect meta data. It's a complete mess Confused. I'm going to mark this addon as broken for now. I don't have an ETA of when it will be fixed.

Thanks for the update. I figured that was the case.

I would rather have a half broken version then none at all :-(.
Thanks for your hard work !

Says "broken" here for me

RE: [RELEASE] National Geographic (Video) Plugin - National Geographic Channel (NGC) - alanet622 - 2012-04-11

Stacked has taken it offline to repair it, so it will be broken for a while as he mentioned.

Thanks for the heads up! I really appreciate all the work people put into making these!

I really miss this one. Hey, stacked, any chance you might have this project back on your radar again? If not, I'm sure you could drum up some interest to join in.

How bad could it be? </sarcasm>

RE: [RELEASE] National Geographic (Video) Plugin - National Geographic Channel (NGC) - BlueCop - 2012-07-15

I was researching this new streaming method myself.

I am able to play the videos over their http for a short while. There is meta-data embedded in the flv as it streams that is used to send control commands to the server.

here is an example.
Code:
onEdge: { session: "AQBjD3WnF0Lnl8MBAVCTcutQ4Pefrfm7nfEYlaWF2ibT+rDaxpFveYaiDz0qiB66ZPy4gcjE", tat: 2744.01, dvrWindow: -1.0, timeBase: 5.071, timeOfLastTAT: 1.342243267540281E9, errorNumber: 0.0, status: 0.0, streamType: 3.0, streamStartTime: 0.0, liveDelay: 0.0, isLive: false, switchFail: false, streamName: "channel/feed/362/225.flv_0_0@1" }
this data is used to make commands to send the to server.

The streamName is the path for the sending the commands to server. That session value needs to be used in as http header value "x-Akamai-Streaming-SessionID" and there is also a "x-Akamai-Streaming-SessionToken" value which i am investigating how it is generated. There is also a transferToken in the first onEdge block sent which is used somehow. I haven't delved much into the Action Script yet to figure it out but I plan to. I was just investigating with a proxy to monitor what was happening. I have just been picking through the logs.

I was attempting to work on a method of getting the needed information for these requests via a local python http proxy. XBMC would connect through the proxy to play the video. The proxy would scan the incoming data for the onEdge commands and then process them for the need information. It would then make the proper requests to keep the stream going. At least that was my plan. I have no idea how feasible it is.

Hey Stacked, BlueCop,
Just wanted to know if you guys made any progress with fixing the NGC add-on.
Sadly I can't offer any kind of real help but I am very interested in this add-on. It's the only thing missing from my xbmc htpc system...
Thanks....

RE: [RELEASE] National Geographic (Video) Plugin - National Geographic Channel (NGC) - hwmaster1 - 2012-12-20

I love this plugin too, when is it coming back?

BlueCop is working on a module that will allow the Nat Geo streams to work in XBMC. I'm not sure it's completed or working yet. I'll try again later today.
