See ./configure --help for available options.

Hello,
Before you go to Make, you need a succesful configure. Your configure stops because --enable-swscale is an unknown option. I had the same problem, and I discarded that option (it seems that it is automatically included now)

good luck

Well. On the website wirbel.htpc-forum.de the file w_scan-20080105.tar.bz2 is not longer available, because it is outdated and there is a newer version out. You can find the link to the new version on this page: http://wirbel.htpc-forum.de/w_scan/index2.html

wget http://wirbel.htpc-forum.de/w_scan/w_scan-20081106.tar.bz2

Cheers,
hepi

Hi thanks but still getting problems at this point

vdr@rich-desktop:/home/rich$ sudo runvdr
/usr/local/bin/runvdr: 31: Syntax error: "(" unexpected
vdr@rich-desktop:/home/rich$
thanks

Sounds like you copy-pasted the runvdr wrongly. There must be typo in that file.

As you can see the instructions are not for the beginners. You need/should do some digging yourself too.

splinux Wrote:Hello,
I made an install as explained in the first post on a fresh Ubuntu 8.10 32bits, with a HVR4000. vdr is running and I can see live TV with vdr-xine plugin and xine. (I did not manage to have xineliboutput working, I had no image, and seg fault when switching channel). Streamdev is also running, and I can see live TV in a browser on http://myip:3000.
I have the TV menu in xbmc, I configured it with the right IP and port = 3000.
When I switch to live TV in xbmc, it locks for a few seconds and then I have an error that streamdev is not compatible, and a second message that it can not connect to the PVR server. In the xbmc log, I see that it search at http://myip:47115, that it can't find. I tried to configure streamdev to use the port 47115 instead of 3000, then I don't have the first message anymore about incompatible streamdev, but only about it can't connect.
If I try to (re)apply the patch (I though I maybe forgot to do it) to streamdev, I get a message that the patch is already applied.

any idea ?

thanks,

sp

ps : I forgot to mention, at installation time I can remember that I have to manually change something about the vdr-extension patch nr. Can't remember of it was from 67 to 66, or 67 to 68.

Hi!

port 3000 is HTTPServerPort and port 2004 is what you need Smile

Change first line from #!/bin/sh to #!/bin/bash at runvdr.

Thanks very much it works now.
I had a quick look at it, and it seems to be very nice work Smile
I had some freezes while switching channels, is related to some existing bugs, or do I have to check my installation ?
Also when starting live TV I get a window telling something like "updating tv data this may take some time". It stays there forever. I need to push ok and TV again. Is that normal ?

many thanks
