well at least you expected it to be screwed... <wink>

sticky (i couldn't my way out of a paper bag, but i'd be happy to test for you...)

sticky, can you post a screenshot so i can more fully grasp everything that's wrong with the display. maybe the overscan problem can just be solved by readjusting it in the video setings?

was just starting to test yesterdays build 12-9-2004 and there looks to be a conflict between the visualization and the cd+g display. smooth scrolling of the cd+g is now gone and both the cd+g display and the visualization is very jumpy on the screen. i tried this with the g-force vis and the fountain vis. has anyone else seen this yet?

- Knocks - 2004-12-10

i agree, it's extremely jumpy. and the initial graphics (the studio's logo) take a while to render, like the video memory is overloaded or something.

same thing here. older builds like 11/18 work perfect, it seems that the problem has been introduced at the beginning of december. Sad

i cant do anything else but agree on this.
when i installed 1208 cvs the karaoke is very slow (its like slowmotion).

older versions like the 1130 cvs is alot better.
anyone got a solution to this, anyone have a newer cvs then 1208 which has a working karaoke function ?

i tested with 12/14 and the problem was partially addressed :
- text/audio out of sync
- i could not see the visualization stuff behind the screen
do you see the same thing on 12/15?

- jmarshall - 2004-12-16

i haven't played with the a/v sync before, so don't know whether it used to be in sync for the files i had, so couldn't really judge it.

if you have files that used to be in sync perfectly (without changing the a/v delay) then if you could please send me some so that i can test + fix it, then that'd be great.

as for the vis in the background, did you try playing with the bg alpha values? (settings->music->karaoke)

----disable the high quality settings then will the sync work properly.

- jmarshall - 2004-12-16

are you using digital output?

for me, with analog output, i've noticed no difference between hq resampling on and off - sync is identical on both tracks i have.

if you have pcm passthrough enabled and are using digital output, then there may be a difference perhaps.

please test if you can (i am digital receiver deprived at the moment)

cheers,
jonathan

and i've just found and fixed the alpha levels for background, so the visz is showing through correctly again now.

cheers,
jonathan

yes, after disbling "high quality resampling" in the audio settings, everything is in sync. is that a bug?

regarding the transparency, it seems that now everything is considered as "foreground". when changing the default transparency for the foreground, it is possible to see the visualization behind. however, the same setting applies to both the text and the background, so it becomes hard to read.

jmarshall do you need a sample karaoke file to test it? i can arrange.
