For $200 you could buy a basic input processor (echo/delay) + amplifier. What you need in your case is mic preamplifier.

Yeah, my TV speakers were very quiet with the mics so I bought a microphone mixer for like 30 bucks at radioshack. I might have given it a second thought, though, had I realized that it didn't come with an AC adapter! Costs an extra like 20 bucks to buy! It doesn't even tell you that till you open it up and look at the instructions. Really lame. So, be forewarned anyone thinking of getting a radioshack one haha.
