I am thinking that I might have mislabeled a layer which was basically just an opaque black layer, so yea I'll take a look at that in a little bit.
EDIT: Took a look at it and apparently there was no extra layer its just that my inner shadow was too small in comparison to phyek's, I'll fix that soon. In the meantime I started the home screen even though its just a simple list.

Gosh the font makes such a difference...
What animation are you using for the list? I'm doing a scroll + fade but it doesn't look good so far.

These screenshots look really gorgeous
Just one question (keep in mind that I don't really know what's possible with skins) can you make the smaller text a different font than the main nav? One of the reasons I can't use Night and many other skins is because the typefaces used in the nav are also used for plot summaries, etc. and they're not made to be used for such large paragraphs. The legibility from 10' is horrible, so it would be great if you could use a more standard-weight font with a normal x-height.Keep up the great work--looks fantastic!

I'll just start from scratch...modifying another skin is...cumbersome. Anyway here is my shade mod so far. You need to use alternate home layout and it's very broken in any case

Sorry for the late response fr500, but I didn't even bother to work on animations yet, as I was just going to try and do a few views really quick. I figured working out which animations to use is another job in itself and something I didn't want to really dive into as of now.
I took a look at yours and it looked like a good start (better than I expected!) but I would probably use a different transition into a new window and also speed up the scroll speed on the wraplist. One more idea I had was using animations on each of the separate layers for the glow, but then again that is something that will probably take more time than the mockups to actually perfect.
