I am having a bit of a trouble here so if someone could help i would appreciate it.
So i am using release 2850 and also upgraded to 2854 to see if problem is fixed but nothing.
Today i downloaded saving.grace.s02e13.*.mkv from the net together with 4 other series. I did an update tvshows and everything worked fine for the other shows but for saving grace it just ignored the episode completely. I also tried renaming the episode but still the same.
I am running MIP in vista 32bit and my tvshows and movies are on my ubuntu jaunty shares.
When i enable debuging i am not getting anything in the log, is there a way to see why this episode is dismissed and is not included in the libraryHuh

- Arkon11 - 2009-04-08

Are you video files organized by Show---> Season ---> show.mkv?

Thats the way I organize all my shows, and it doesn't have any trouble detecting them. Also, try naming that file "2x013 - (Episode name)". Then stick that in the Season 2 folder.

Hopefully that helps.

Quick Question: How do I add custom fanart & covers to my movies through MIP. (instead of just using the artwork that MIP has downloaded for me to choose from)

Example: I want to use a fanart image I downloaded to my desktopfrom "getvideoartwork.com" instead of whats availible from what MIP has downloaded.

Click "Add Background" in the Movie tab.

The same can be done with the poster art? (I'd try it out, but I'm afriad that my school's PC's don't have MIP on them Rolleyes)

Yep, that would be "Add Poster" Smile

garvani Wrote:Second problem/annoyance, For some movies, such as hitch, it comes up with 50 odd movies to pick the right one, problem being that the right one isnt in the list! if you goto imdb its the top of the list as most popular, how does the scrapper gather the info? I would have thought it would grab the most popular movie or at the very least have it in the list to be picked! but dosnt seem to be doing that, well not for me anyway..
Its an awesome program and one that is well needed, just need to figure out how to make it more seamless, and not requiring so much attention.

Im running 2.0.0.2854 on xbmc rev18627 (17th march compile) on windows7 7057.. if it matters

I had the same issue a couple of days ago and Fekker fixed it I believe. Try the 2861. The cause is the /I as part of the date.

Thank you so much, MIP is incredible program, keep on going! Smile

Quick question, I have a lot of russian movies, can I scrape them with Kinopoisk scraper in MIP?

the program can not start because VCOMP90.DLL is missing from your computer. try reinstalling the program to fix the problem

I click ok and get a MS.net framework unhandled exception

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging

</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer

I'm having intermittent connection issues with my ISP, so i'll be brief..

Note: this is for 64bit OS only, don't use this under 32bit.

Not sure if this works or not.. but it should.. basically the embedded version is 32bit only, which means in 64bit you need to install the 64bit version to use those features.

I can't just copy it (like i do for the 32bit version), since image magick looks to the registry for file locations and not in the current path.. maybe they will add a 64bit version, if they do, i'll add it to mip's installer.

In the meantime, please give this a try.

Install image magick 64bit to the MIP folder for it.

remove the files in this folder
C:\Program Files (x86)\mediainfoplus\3rdparty\ImageMagick

Download this file
http://www.imagemagick.org/download/binaries/ImageMagick-6.5.1-0-Q16-windows-x64-static.exe

Install it and specify the install directory.. install it to
C:\Program Files (x86)\mediainfoplus\3rdparty\ImageMagick

fekker,
can you build USB (portable) versions when you release... I prefer to not 'install' things into windows.

thx for the nice app!

- ethan_9219 - 2009-04-09

@fekker...Just a quick question. I know i'll get flamed for asking this as it has been stated by you before. But, when installing MIP how exactly do i do it?

I mean, i want the full install...But then, how do i actually go about installing the updates etc?

- david81 - 2009-04-09

Just started looking into using MIP for my music. Been using it for my movies with great success.

When clicking on many of my albums I get an error:
Quote:See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

This is on Vista x64. I really want to get this working so that I can use the library functionality of XBMC with artist thumbs and such. The built in scraper really doesn't cut it for my collection (quite a few musicals) and the ability to customize the data will be critical I think.

Thanks again for the great job you've done on the program so far. Hopefully I can get this working for music Smile
