crashlog and log , check it out angelscry and tell me whats up cause im mindboggled why it aint working and no i havent made a duplicate ive used yours that you linked too, peace
Your log file contain a lot of errors but not related to Advanced Launcher like those ones...
Code:
...
01:32:59 T:8052   ERROR: XFILE::CDirectory::GetDirectory - Error getting G:\Movies library III\CaptiveFiles1\
01:32:59 T:8052   ERROR: XFILE::CDirectory::GetDirectory - Error getting G:\Movies library III\Cast.Me.If.You.Can.2010.DVDRip.XviD-KeRO\
01:33:00 T:8052   ERROR: XFILE::CDirectory::GetDirectory - Error getting G:\Movies library III\Cat Girl Kiki\
01:33:01 T:8052   ERROR: XFILE::CDirectory::GetDirectory - Error getting G:\Movies library III\Children.2011.DVDRip.x264.AC3-Zoo\
...
Seems that XBMC trying to scan your G:\ drive (and is not able to acces it generating a lot of errors) at the same time you try to use Advanced Launcher. Then you have this :
Code:
...
01:33:03 T:8052   ERROR: XFILE::CDirectory::GetDirectory - Error getting G:\Movies library III\Cobalt Blue\
[b]01:33:03 T:10552   ERROR: XFILE::CDirectory::GetDirectory : Division by zero (code:0xc0000094) at 0x00281149[/b]
01:33:03 T:10552   ERROR: XFILE::CDirectory::GetDirectory - Error getting plugin://plugin.program.advanced.launcher.2
01:33:03 T:10552   ERROR: CGUIMediaWindow::GetDirectory(plugin://plugin.program.advanced.launcher.2) failed
...
Actually I'm suspecting that the second line error is related to your G:\ drive access and use of Advanced Launcher at the same time. Maybe is you are able to fix the first errors, it will become more clear what happen with advanced launcher.

the thing is i dont have a g drive anymore i had restarted my pc unplugged my external plugged it back in and my windows renamed my drive to H instead of g

then i updated the sources in XBMC to h instead of g but xbmc seems to still have some info from g ? -.-'

launching adv not adv 2 works like a charm all the time ....hmmmm....

Quote:Directory structure is not really important. Just assure to put all the issues of a same comic into the same directory and name the CBZ or CBR file correctly... in your case : spider-man #660.cbr. ComicVine scraper as to be activated into settings for data and thumbnails and "import during scan option" as to be set to automatic or ideally on semi-automatic to avoid issues errors during scan.

Still not working - cant figure it out - Sorry for all the pics - but figured this would be the easiest way to check out my config- Any help would once again be very appreciated (I think i am almost there) ...

But what does contain the "Batman", "Spider-man" and "The Flash" folders? More important thing is the files... not the folders.

When I will be at home, I will prepare you an auto-install archive file for a second advanced launcher installation (like for the first one). But I did not see what it will do better than the last archive I post here. Eek

Inside the Spider-Man folder is a file called Spider-Man issue# 660.cbr

Same for Batman and The Flash - with different issue #'s

It must be named Spider-Man #660.cbr to be recognized by the poor ComicVine API search engine.

I think I am asking for the wrong thing here ...

Let me show some pics again ...

Here in the first shot all is perfect ... it is the home menu with Comics and the backdrops have comic book pictures ... perfect ...
Image

Now we have the screen after I ENTER into the Comics menu off of the home screen ... here I would like to see pictures or thumbnails or fanart (not sure what they are officially called)

Image

Then we have inside the "Spider-Man" folder we see a pic of the comic which I think? I am ok here ...

You want to see thumbnails and fanart of what exactly?? Because ComicVine do not have any specific thumbnail or fanart for comics volumes, but only thumbnails for issues. If you want to add thumbnail and fanart images for each launcher you will have to do it manually using the launcher context menu (with google image scrapper for example).

If you have the image that's mean that both data and thumbnail scrappers have worked correctly. As I have said before, you do not have fanarts images on ComicVine. So if you want them, you will have to do it manually using item context menu (with google image scrapper like for launcher).

Also if you do not have any comics information or description could be due to 2 reasons :
  • ComicVine do not have this information on its database
  • The skin or view you are using do not display these information.

If you take a look at page 12 of this thread - the picture with the Hulk and all the various comics on the bottom ... is this possible with adv and Aeon Nox?

Many thanks

Also there is no picture in the thumbnail folder nor in the fanart folder. Is this ok:

I have one folder for my actual comics and separate folders for fanart and thumbnails. I have mapped the adv to those respective folders

Or does the thumbnails need to be in the same folder as the actual comic?

ok angelscry ill wait hope that will fix it cause as said youre regular adv i downloaded from the depository per the addon

worked

but the adv2 that i downloaded from youre link and added to my addons directory crashes my xbmc, once i create a addon menu item for adv2 aka comics and i click on it ....crash -.-'

Sorry to be a pain here on this - and I understand this is a lot to ask - but if you find the time can you describe your configs:

1. Directory structure: where your comics are in relation to where you have your scrapers pointed.
2. What views you are using (eg: showcase? list?)
3. How you created the Comics section on your home page. -Im thinking this might be my problem.
4. Anything else I might be missing?

Thanks again -
