Last build works fine, so it was just an issue with the previous one.
Launch XBMCUpdater again and it will be just fine.

Any chance of some new features for this sweet little program? Its been updating all my XBMC clients perfectly for a while now but I've thought of a couple of places it could be made better!

Firstly a rollback feature that would let me install a previous nightly build if there is some show stopping bug (like the HID Device message bug that's around ATM).

And secondly, to go along with the rollback feature, a simple on/off toggle to stop updates temporarily (no point in updating after we've rolled back until the bugs are worked out)

Totally understand if it doesn't get implemented! Just a couple of thoughts I had this morning when I turned on my HTPC and saw the HID Device notification stuck!

Maybe you would only need a blacklist feature ?
So if you blacklist the last available release, the previous one will be your last available so you'll be able to install it using the updater this way.

Has kricker stopped updating the builds? My last build was 12-28-11. Almost a month ago. Oh and good job. This is a great program and great builds. Big Grin I would hate to see it go away. Sad

Dude... you are way behind in your XBMC news... go to http://www.XBMC.org Rofl

Yes. I have suspended builds during the beta phase. After Eden releases, I will resume nightly builds. Having users report issues from nightly builds during a beta phase is counterproductive to the beta process for the developers.

If you don't want to wait, you can dowload the officiel eden beta 2 release here :
http://mirrors.xbmc.org/releases/win32/

Don't forget to backup your userdata folder first.

I got an error with the last available build with the updater :
"Cannot find central"

- Shadok - 2012-03-04

Found the reason, your last uploaded build is named : XBMCSetup--dx.exe

The revision number is missing Smile

- kricker - 2012-03-04

Oh there shouldn't be any new builds. I am still suspended until Eden is released. I'll go and kill that build. I think it happened when I was testing something.

- kricker - 2012-03-04

Okay removed the errant builds. Sorry about that.

Is there anyway update schedules could be added in the program itself?

Windows 7 scheduling has been hit and miss for me, i noticed while researching issues with it other users reported problems to.

I like how in antivirus software for instance you can schedule right in the software itself, to update daily ect...

Would this be possible or to much work?

RE: [WINDOWS] Automatic Update Client for XBMC - kricker - 2012-04-01

I'm pretty sure what the AV does is place a scheduled task into the Task Scheduler. There are a few that do it themselves, but then you have to keep that process running.

Eden has released. Nightly builds by me are now resumed. They are available either by Http or by this updater client.

You mean by HTTP aren't you ? Smile
