I think with all the icons grouped like that on the left there's a pretty strong visual imbalance--especially when combined with the thumb slideshow.

Maybe if you scaled the icons down to around 50% of that size you could get everything to fit a bit better?

this mod would also be useful in 2D View.
Maybe a switch between 2D and 3D can be implemented.

Implementing the aspect ratio would be a great feature,
It would be easier to find out then if your movie has the right aspect ratio or not, in every nfo file i have, there is a entry for it:

<aspectdisplayratio>2.353</aspectdisplayratio>

would be really nice to have.

That mod3 looks great.
I first tested it on my PC...
But on my xbox I'm not getting the middle and right pane....

Most of the time the transparency on the panes look perfect and really nice and subtle, but it does become rather unreadable when a light fanart is displayed.

I would prefer those thumbnails of the carré at the bottom a big bigger, but I guess that's taste.

Is there a special reason it doesn't work on the xbox (limited layers?) or a misconfiguration here?

the big poster on the right fades out to fast into plot and stays that way.
maybe the poster should not fade out at all, its essential for the nice looking aeon style view.
But maybe thats just taste.
i like the fanart background more but the transparancy is
a bit to high on the left and right part.

when there is no fanart available it shows the poster.
maybe it should fall back to thumbs slideshow.

Of course it is over the bluray flag. Your movie can only be one of the two. A movie cannot have two sources.
