[aTV] Video jumpy - fishnchips - 2009-05-10 Hi all. I've upgraded to the latest Babylon version (using multifinder) and I'm suffering from jumpy video on all of my streamed video. I've attached a pastebin of xbmc.log here: http://pastebin.com/md971c05 This is for a Handbrake rip of Shrek. It looks like there maybe a network issue but the AppleTV/iTune streaming works fine. Mediainfo dump: Code: *** MediaInfo Mac // Plain text file report Any advice would be much appreciated! - fishnchips - 2009-05-11 I've 'factory restored' my atv to 2.3.1 and cleanly installed XBMC Babylon Final/Launcher 3.0 in both multifinder and 'non-multifinder' mode and the problem still persists.... I've tried 802.11n and wired ethernet as well but that doesn't help. - sircube - 2009-05-11 Hi, I can confirm that my ATV has the same experience and problem reported in this thread. My video streams from a hacked router. Speed and connectivity was not and shall not be an issue; I have had no similar problems with Atlantis. Network config has not changes between the upgrade and indeed I experience 1 sec hang of the video along with the sound. I'm have no access to my ATV so cannot send you logs. But good that fishnchips bought this up. my config is: OSX Version 10.4 Platform AppleTV v2.3 Launcher version of AppleTV.: 3 final Install Method: Launcher, then downloaded custom Launcher (Beta5), using launcher upgraded to Launcher 3 final. XBMC SVN Revision (bf1) upgraded to Babylon final using Launcher Multifinder switched off - fishnchips - 2009-05-13 Update to this problem. It seems to be limited to H264 MP4 files with two audio tracks (ie AppleTV files from Handbrake which have AAC & AC3 audio tracks). I ripped a couple of VOBs and they work fine. - sircube - 2009-05-15 fishnchips Wrote:Update to this problem. Unfortunately mine is not limited to tracks with AAC and AC3 encoded sound. In the forum several people reporting video sluggish kind-of problems... so I guess there is something wrong, just not easy to catch a log... Another suggestion from Davilla is to restore profiles and change to default skin and give a try... will do it today. - fishnchips - 2009-05-15 I've tried the default skin with no joy and rebuilt my profile from scratch... - sircube - 2009-05-16 fishnchips Wrote:I've tried the default skin with no joy and rebuilt my profile from scratch... That's too bad. I guess I will give a try, login with ssh, delete everything XBMC-related and do a fresh install. - phi2039 - 2009-05-16 @fishnchips: your issue is caused by an audio problem in xbmc. I suggest you try a build that incorporates the new coreaudio code I merged yesterday. @sircube: With no log, I cannot tell you what your problem is... - codeblue2k - 2009-05-16 @phi2039 How do you use the coreaudio code? - phi2039 - 2009-05-17 I use it by compiling my source code. You can download an unofficial build from: http://www.sshcs.com/xbmc/ - codeblue2k - 2009-05-21 phi2039 Wrote:I use it by compiling my source code. Thats the thing. I dont have anything that an Apple besides the AppleTV. Plus I have nooo idea how to compile software. - davilla - 2009-05-21 codeblue2k Wrote:Thats the thing. Did you even go to the URL that phi2039 posted ? - codeblue2k - 2009-05-21 davilla Wrote:Did you even go to the URL that phi2039 posted ? Yes.... but from what he said it made it seem like I would have to compile it manually. Do I not have to? - codeblue2k - 2009-05-21 codeblue2k Wrote:Yes.... but from what he said it made it seem like I would have to compile it manually. Do I not have to? Sorry... now I see that is is already compiled. So do I just replace the XBMC.app folder in my /mnt/Scratch/Users/frontrow/Applications/ with the one that he has supplied? - codeblue2k - 2009-05-22 codeblue2k Wrote:Sorry... now I see that is is already compiled.
