Anyone have videos for channel identification for AC3/DTS/AAC/WMV/FLAC? - LaTropa64 - 2009-05-15
I've been trying to find some avi or mkv files that would play back with 6ch Dolby Digital, DTS and AAC to correctly identify the channels it's outputting to. Something that basically just comes up and says the words on each speaker "Front left, center, front right, etc."
I would think this would be something that was fairly common and available but I've had no luck with numerous google searches.

The WAV output will not come out correct due to missing WAV remap support, the following patch fixes this:

The AAC output will be down mixed to 2 channels, and even may play way too fast due to hardcoded 2 channel down mixing to work around a problem with the apple tv, the following patch fixes this, and also corrects the audio mapping.

That first link to the wmv file is almost exactly what I'm looking for. Now if I could just find it with ac3, dts and aac tracks.

Here is one i use for dts channel mapping. There are no visuals but it goes through the channels a couple of times.

Thanks. That works great!
I also managed to convert that wmv file above to AC3 and AAC. The ac3 video is working correctly but I can't confirm whether or not the aac is playing back on the right channels since I don't have a receiver that supports AAC passthrough.

Thanks. That one is good and I managed to convert it so it has a DTS track.
