I have just updated my xbmclive dharma to pre Eden. The plugin works, but any stream plays with the bottom 1/8 of the screen distorted.

Anyone else seen this?

Yeah i get this sometimes - 20% of the time, can't make it go away. Next day all is fine again (i'm Eden on OpenElec)

Yes, like that.

Guess you didn't find a solution? It starts off as bizarre green artefacts/interference at bottom of screen.

No, Prof Yaffle is working at it http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=99448

I've settled for stream quality set @1500k because I've only had problems with HD streams.

I love this addon!
But it wont skip through radio shows - you have to listen from start to finish.

I'm getting the iPlayer add-on/XBMC freezing about 10 seconds after resuming from a pause on all the programs I've tried.

I'm running W7 x64, with the iPlayer add-on from the Hitcher's repository (I assume that's the most up to date version).

So it was paused before this log extract begins; I unpause it at 22:39:32, then it appears to run out of buffered content at 22:39:44. From there it stops responding and Windows ends up terminating its task.

I tried searching the forum for this problem, but I've not found much. Apologies if this is a known issue and I've not found the workaround.

Can post more log file if required.

don't use pause Smile

if you had googled for "xbmc iplayer freeze pause", you would have found a reference for if on the iplayer google code page, but it isn't a plugin issue anyway but related to an interaction between xbmc and librtmp pause functionality - see http://trac.xbmc.org/ticket/11122

Thanks for the link. My Google search went from being too specific, to being too vague, so I didn't find it for myself.

Has anyone noticed, if you pause an iplayer stream, and then resume, it will have a lot of trouble doing so. I actually have to end task on xbmc to get out of this state. Could this be given a look?

Isn't your issue dealt with in the post just before yours?

See Exobuzz's reply 4 above this one with the bug/issue link.

FWIW Windows 7 seems to be able to recover XBMC from the freeze for me, but this might be a restart in the background.

d'oh, should have read.

So it looks like a long-standing problem really... I won't worry about it for now then. nice enough to have iplayer at all :-)

Can't add iplayer as video source - charlesdriver - 2011-10-12

Hi,
I'm new to XBMC. Just downloaded it for Windows - it looks great. I've downloaded, unzipped and put this plugin in the addons folder. I can go through the video menu and get the iplayer plugin to work.

However, when I go through Video, Add Source, Browse - there is no option to add a video plugin. What am I missing?

I have watched the youtube tutorial and searched these forums... I must be missing something! Eek

Please help!

Hi all,
great plugin, thanks for the hard work, I have been using it for a week or so now.
I am running apple tv2, nightly build and the latest version of the plugin.
I am based in the Czech Republic but am using a UK proxy from hideipvpn.com.
The iPlayer plugin works, but it seems that only the latest episodes play properly (and when they play, they play perfectly). Is there a rational explaination for this, and even a work around for it, before I start digging into log files etc?
Thanks all
J

i had this problem with iplayer, but for me it was absolutly random of which would play and which wouldnt. Sometimes i found a show would not play tried a hour later and it played.
