I'm running the latest nightly build on ATV2. - exobuzz - 2011-07-27 15:51 on appletv. no idea ;-) Does the last stable release work ok ? - idlerobbo - 2011-07-27 16:07 yeah others say it works fine. Maybe I should post directly in that forum. - gazbea - 2011-07-28 00:24 exobuzz Wrote:I can't find any reference in that log of you even running the iplayer plugin ? Bit weird... Oh well... Here is a better one. Edited the file down to point of execution... Can definitely see the iPlayer plugin running in this log! :-) http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8673078/xbmc.log For further info, I have done a fresh install today of XBMC Live on another system and it worked perfectly and then for no apparent reason whatsoever it just decided to stop working. It now starts to run (about half a second), and then stops and returns me back to the iPlayer program selection screen. It is this new system that the log above has been pulled from. Thanks again. - brus - 2011-07-30 13:28 I can't get the live stream to work. I use a UK vpn (PPTP) on my router and IPlayer: version: 2.4.12 on my apple tv. All the content in the iplayer works just fine except the live streams ![]() http://pastebin.com/VB8q99Q6 I can't figure out what's wrong in the logfile, maybe someone else can? Thanks in advance. Edit: BBC Parliament and BBC News works but that's no fun
HD stream on ATV2 - cromity123 - 2011-07-30 13:40 Hi Exobuzz, I'm having trouble getting HD streams to work on ATV2, see log below, i'm in UK. HD streams play at about 10 fps and sound stops and starts, CPU looks to be at about 90%. I'm using 27 July nightly, HD streams work fine on old official builds (from Feb), but something broke so I've had no luck getting them working on any builds since. If i use get-iplayer to download the HD programmes i get the same stuttering when playing files locally. Any ideas? Thanks! http://pastebin.com/Ui5FptD1 Others having trouble with iplayer plugin on ATV2 too, see here: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=106469 - exobuzz - 2011-07-31 03:22 gazbea Wrote:It is this new system that the log above has been pulled from. have you tried switching stream source to akamai or limelight ? rather than auto. - exobuzz - 2011-07-31 03:24 cromity123 Wrote:Hi Exobuzz, this is something you need to report to xbmc. the plugin just passes a url to play to xbmc. if it starts playing but performance is bad etc, and especially if it used to work, the problem points to something in xbmc. note the nightly builds warning "Only for the brave. You should expect breakage when running these builds.". - gott_sei_dank - 2011-08-01 00:03 Has anyone else noticed that HD quality shows have been turning up in the normal channel listings (i.e not BBC HD), this maybe a welcome development for some, whether by design or a fluke, however at the moment some people have problems with corrupt playback of iPlayer HD material (not addon related I hasten to add) so I've had to lower the maximum playback quality. |
