Yep, my xbmc is from one of last week's nightly builds, is the fix recent.

How about an interface to Canvas Cool

well i have the latest Dharma svn and the 2.1 iplayer plugin installed and it finds all the context but when i actually select a program to play it just gives me a script error lol any ideas?

- Hitcher - 2010-08-03

Might help to post the actual error.

- Marvel - 2010-08-03

Like some of the other posts I can get the context menus to load but can't play anything back.

Debug: http://pastebin.com/1aCVHfMG

Quote:if you turn off the "dialog window" from the settings it should work. I suspect this is a xbmc bug, or they have changed something and not yet informed people of what they need to change in their scripts.

I've looked for this setting but can't find it Oo

Cheers

A quick update, I still get a delay of around 25-30s each step of navigating through the listings. CPU usage (atom 330) peaks at 40-50% whilst the dialog box shows (idles at <10%). Task manager confirms this is all xbmc.exe. Confused Video doesn't play and i get a "script failed" message

My debug log is below;

Thanks

turn off "Display dialog when Play pressed" and post a bug to xbmc trac perhaps. This code used to work, now it doesnt, so either something has changed in xbmc that we need to do something differently, or it is a bug. I have not seen any mention of code changes needed here though for plugin developers.

script error - jpmunroe - 2010-08-04

I am using build 32381 on Windows 7 x64

iplayer works fine in a browser

When trying in xbmc, it enumerates all the TV programmes, but when trying to watch one I get a script error.

The following is in the log file:

File "C:\Program Files (x86)\XBMC\addons\plugin.video.iplayer\default.py", line 1078, in ?
watch(feed, pid, showDialog)
File "C:\Program Files (x86)\XBMC\addons\plugin.video.iplayer\default.py", line 786, in watch
pDialog.update(0)
SystemError: Error: Window is NULL, this is not possible :-)

Windows workaround - hallergard - 2010-08-04

jpmunroe, see post #425 on page 43! This now works very well for me with the newer versions of rtmpdump (ver 2.3) and get_iplayer (ver 2.78). The latter I got from some Linux distro and renamed the file get_iplayer to get_iplayer.pl You also have to find get_iplayer.cgi somewhere. I am using version 0.69. Good luck!

- jpmunroe - 2010-08-04

Thanks for the suggestion. However I am running Windows 7 and get_iplayer doesn't seem to work at all. Furthermore, I moved to XBMC from Meedio(os) because I didn't want to spend my life configuring a HTPC - I just want it to work.

I was hoping for an easier solution, perhaps changing some lines in the script or waiting for an update from the author.

new user of xbmc - iplayer issues - xbmc4win7 - 2010-08-04

hi guys,

i'm a new user of this wonderful app and i've just fresh installed windows 7, xbmc and also the installed iplayer v2.1 from the built-in installer.

I can't get bbc iplayer working. First in the log file it was showing codec errors, so i installed community codec pack, disabled antivirus & firewall, but now when i play a file, such as eastenders, it gives the msg of streaming/buffering as if its going to stream any minute, but nothing happens. So i have copied the log file here...pls pls let me know ASAP! The kids are getting bored, lol:-
