I'm not going to argue or debate the in's and out's of the obfuscation or even the encryption that's been employed. What I will say is that when it was agreed with TVC for me to create the plugin, I was asked to employ measures to prevent casual users from working out how it works. What I do know is that if they feel that it has been compromised they will block the plugin then none of us will be able to use it. So can we just leave it there please??

thanx! Smile

dj_gerbil Wrote:Oh and its obfuscated at the request of TVC, sorry.

i suppose it's fair as they are supplying the streams free.... as long as they don't take advantage of it in the future.

- double post, sorry firefox crashing -

dj_gerbil Wrote:Not to sure why its failing. Can you please check that your username and password are all correct and working properly on a PC or something then try again. If it still doesn't work can you enable debugging in XBMC and post the debug log please to give me a bit more detail.

oops, sorry yes that might have been it, doh.
seems to work now. on windows and xbox.
perhaps an "incorrect username/password" dialog would stop someone else doing this (entering passwords with the screen keyboard is pretty awkward on most skins!).

still crashes on first run though.. but works thereafter.

seeing this plugin working, it's pretty awesome, especially with an xbox in a place without freeview box etc. hope you can keep it working reliably! thanks.

I'm using TVCatchup on XBMC Live, but after about 5 minutes of watching, it crashes and I cannot quit.

Is there anything you can think of that I'm doing wrong? It's installed into the video plugins folder...

Thanks for your hard work! This plugin has *huge* potential.

However I can't get it working.

I tried with version 1.2.1 and version 2.1 from the google code repository and later from http://plugins.tvcatchup.com/~xbmc/ .....

Firstly the plugin doesn't seem to be caching my username and password -whether entered in plugin settings or simply when prompted by the plugin. This applies to both versions stated.

Secondly the 2.1 version is displaying the channel names after having entered the password but prompting for it again after clicking one. Furthermore clicking hte channels produces no effect other than the password prompt.

is this plugin still working, because 2 days ago, it was on my windows xbmc, now its giving out a black screen, however on the xbox version, its fine!!, any suggestions??

If it's still working on XBMC I'll grab the latest build and give it a second shot!

Can anyone else confirm it's definately working and with what build?

works for me with no problems on ubuntu karmic and latest version of the plugin from googlecode... bit slow starting streams and changing but thats to be expected

seems stable (has been playing bbc4 for 15 minutes no drop yet).
thanks.
haven't checked xbox recently.

My TvCatchup stops after 30-45 minutes. Anyone found a way around this?

That's a bit weird :~ Cam you post a debug log please?? So I can see if its anything obvious.

How do I run the app in debug and where is the log?
