Debug is selectable from one of the settings menus, but I'm not to worried about that. The log itself should be in something like /home/user/.xbmc/temp if memory serves me correctly. As for accessing it, you'll need to use a secure FTP program. If you search the Live part of the forums, there is a thread there that tells you all you need to know.

Yeah no problem about getting the log. I'll have a go now.

Hi

The stream stopped at around 1:15pm and I restarted it at 2pm. It happened again later.

Have you tried rebooting your routerHuh Only I can't see anything jumping out at me that says "The error is here" lol Although I will ask a friend at TVC if he's got any ideas why a stream would just drop like that.

- thetaylor - 2010-06-10

There is no router, its on a Super Janet connection which is stable.

Is it possible to get the script to try a reconnect on drop?

Super Janet as in this
If so, then I think I've just found you problem. I'm not 100% sure, but I believe that they aren't that keen on streaming media sites using their network. So, I believe, that they may have bandwidth monitors in place that check the ports and if a port is open for too long they close it.

With regard to getting the plugin to reconnect after a drop. The problem there is that the plugin itself doesn't know about the drop, it's done its work and handed over to XBMC's DVDPlayer by that point. As a result it has no way of knowing if the stream dropped, or if you pressed stop. I'll have a think about it, and a chat with some colleagues over at TVC and see if we can come up with any ideas.

- thetaylor - 2010-06-10

Yup that's the one. Hmm maybe you're right. It would explain a lot.

Any solution you think of would be much appreciated. I have a lot of work colleagues watching the world cup Smile

Any chance this plugin can be decrypted as it looks like the author changed every thing that readable to mad crap lol (they prob have a way to convert all them to proper text new security hah)

as to fix the problems with librtmp we need to fix the scrip but cant as its all garbled up.

- rudeboyx - 2010-06-14

they were very fussy about this and adamant that the security needs to stay in place. try PM'ing the author and asking him to make the script changes to get this working.

hey there!

i run xbmc camelot on a ubuntu 10.04 installation, tvcatchup was working yesterday... and today it does not seem to want to play any streams Sad

it works if i use the website... but after i get a list of channels in xbmc and select one i get nothing. i use the big alaska skin and it says "now playing" in the corner but no stream initialises. here is the section from my log:

- gobbledigook - 2010-06-23

works nowSmile

but for me i had to download the plugin again

- rooster790 - 2010-08-11

Hello - is there any work being done to port this to the recent versions of XBMC? ie new addon system? Is it hold for a release? I stuck a basic addon.xml in with it but alas not that simple...

- dj_gerbil - 2010-08-11

Simple answer, yes, I'm doing at at the moment. And, no, its not as simple as just adding an XML file, I've got to change some stuff in the actual plugin.

- rudeboyx - 2010-08-12

great news to here. not been able to use this for some time now due to a mix of the xbox version crashing every 5 min and it not being compatible with the new add-on system in the dharma builds.
