I have recently updated the script and found you have now got video preview playback whilst browsing the TV guide which is great. I'm having just one problem now. when exiting the script, the TV playback stops. this means I can no longer browse my other media whilst TV is on in the background. this used to be possible with earlier versions of this script. any chance you could put this back in? Also, the loading and unloading of the TV guide is a bit messy. the speed at which the channles are displayed / cleared creates a staggering animation which looks diabolical, again this never used to be the case with earlier verions of the script.
PS, any chance of an option to make video preview in the EPG, fullscreen behind the guide data?

The staggered load/unload is actually caused by Eden Final, if you to back to RC3 or onto one if the nightlys it goes away.
As for playback behind the guide, do you want jam on it too

I thought i noticed the staggered loading happen as soon as i upgraded to eden final, although I also updated tvcatchup at the same time so aumed it was that. no worries about the fullscreen preview playback. I'll have a mess with the script my self to drop it a layer and make it fullscreen.

Forgive me as I have had my Apple TV 2 box a week and am not as clued up as some people on here. I received my box with all xmbc video add-ons already installed. I am a member of TVCatchup on my laptop and my Iphone 4 but when i try to get on TVC on xmbc I get 'Script failed! : plugin.video.tvcatchup' . As I'm new to all this I have no idea how to get into log files, I've signed in using the menu button and putting my user name and password in, I'm using Version 1.4.4. Again it may be something simple I've missed but if someone could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it. Cheers.

Ok, first off there's an update for that version if the plugin as you'll probably find (if your ATV is running Eden Final) that it's because the version you're running is out if date. If you install the repo (link's in my signature) you can get the updates automatically.

Im running Eden V11.0, so I've been googleing all day about xmbc and have installed Cyberduck to transfer the file in your link, is that how I do it? I'm totally lost.

I'm not 100% sure as I'm not an ATV user, but I assume you use Cyberduck to transfer the zip file to the ATV remembering where you've copied it too. Then from within XBMC, go to Settings > Addons > Install From Zip and navigate to where you put the zip file. This SHOULD then install the repo and you SHOULD get "TVCatchup Repo Enabled" if it worked. Then, hopefully, you should see (from within the Addons Screen) Available Updates. You should also be able to go into "Get Addons" and be able to choose TVCatchup's Repo and if you want to use it you can install the newer plugin with EPG.

The latest 17 update fixed the no loading channel guide for me, but now both the old 1.x.x and 2.x.x versions of TV catchup don't work for me.
They play for about 2-5mins then the video freezes. If I click on the X or click stop it completely locks up xbmc.
This is a fresh install in ubuntu 12.04.
ITV player and Iplayer (inc live tv) work perfectly fine.

Just had a stream running for over an hour without any issue, are you sure it's not a local issue ie ISP?
