Hi, Anyone that could give me a hint?

Have a new installed ubuntu 10.10, using a Terratec Cinergy C PCI HD card.

I have set up tvheadend found my card (after compiling mantis drivers) and I have found the channels so they are viseble under services. But when I press play to try it in totem player I get "an error occorred" "Location not found". And in the web interface log I find

Oct 10 22:45:22 RTSP: 127.0.0.1: rtsp://127.0.0.1:9981/service/_dev_dvb_adapter0_Philips_TDA10023_DVB_C290000000_0449 -- Unauthorized

Anyone have any hint? Dont know what more to do, am so close after several days of strugeling to get this far. =/

Never mind that, Redid the access side, and now I dont get that error. But an other one

I can watch svt1 and tv4 that is "open" butt all my scrumbled channels but also my open tv6 gives me folowing error with quality below 10, tv4 and svt is 100. Dont know why? anyone have any idees?

Oct 10 23:09:54 Transport: Subscription "192.168.2.22 [ XBMC Media Center ]": Skipping "Philips TDA10023 DVB-C/Com Hem: 362,000 kHz/TV6" -- Quality below 10

Edit: some of my scrambled channels and and even hd channels works. Its like 70% that dont work with quality below 10.

dushmaniac Wrote:did you get the source directly from svn? if so, the tvheadend addon there is broken. there are patches posted that fix the channel bug a few posts back.

you could also try my ppa build that already includes those patches

Thanks a lot. I'll try the patches, because your builds are only for Lucid.

Just to be sure: the patches are
http://trac.xbmc.org/ticket/10413
http://trac.lonelycoder.com/hts/ticket/299
http://trac.lonelycoder.com/hts/ticket/300

Am I right?

- opdenkamp - 2010-10-11

The tvheadend ones are correct, but the patches for xbmc are posted in http://trac.xbmc.org/ticket/9414 now (added a comment in http://trac.xbmc.org/ticket/10413 that directs you there)

You could also apt-get source the package for lucid. It will download a separate patch too that includes all my changes.

Cool, you fixed the time-offset bug? J
P.S: did i mention i love you Smile

Super, just saw the list of fixed and hard work on the patches!
Can't wait to test them out,
@Gujs: any chance of an updated ppa? or are these changes in your rev 34447.

Love to give them a go and report back hereBig Grin
keep up the good work!
regards,
Ruud.

most of them are in Gujs's too if his build is recent cause the are by his hand (check the ticket!). I just made separate patches from them, added my own patches and created the patches against tvheadend.

I'm trying to do a merge of the changes in trunk now. Applying each change in svn automatically to the the pvr-testing2 branch till it detects an error and fixing that manually. It's over 1000 commits since the last merge, so it takes a while, but I'm about halfway now.

Every change is commited to a local git repos, so if anything breaks I should be able to find the commit that is responsible.

I manually downloaded the file with the single patch, applied it to the xbmc source files and .......... it just works.
Now I can use the pvr addon in xbmc.
Thanks a lot and if you need a beta tester for 64 bit maverick box, I'm in.
Bye

Quality of downscaled channel logos - xoox - 2010-10-15

I have a question concerning the pvr-testing2 confluence skin. In the MyTV window there is the channel list on the right side. The quality of the downscaled channel icons isn't good. When I view a channel and press 'i' for the info bar, then the channel icon is display bigger and looks far better. The channel icons are 250x200 pixel PNG files.

Do you have similar issues?
Is there a way to increase the quality?

Sorting channels - dongioia - 2010-10-15

Now that I have the full pvr features in xbmc, thanks to dushmaniac, I can't have the channels sorted correctly in the LiveTV section.
I manually set the number for each channel in the tvheadend web gui.
They are correctly sorted in the videos section of xbmc, where I add an htsp entry, but are in alfabetcal order in the LiveTV.

Hey guys, first post here. I got my ASRock Ion330 setup using the xbmcbuntu tutorial, but with Gujs' ppa for xbmc and tvheadend. I'm having a few annoying issues that I could do with some help on.

-In the tvheadend web ui, i can see the epg perfectly fine, but xbmc pvr-testing2 wont load any epg info at all. I've tried all the settings in the epg settings panel, with no luck

-How would I set up a button on my remote to record whatever channel is playing (ubuntu sees it a keyboard, so it's not using lirc)?

-For some reason, I cannot choose a media scraper for my movies. when I set one, then close the window, it just resets to no scraper, so my movie collection is sitting in a fairly un-elegant way.

-Every now and then xbmc will crah while playing a channel. I've been looking at the crash logs, and from what I can gather (not too sure on this one), it crashes if tvheadend says the signal is too weak

and finally, are there any other skins with the tv interface available? Or is there any way I could hack it into the alaska skin?

Thanks in advance for any answers! It'd be great to get this htpc set up for my parents asap!

never seen it, but there's no way to increase the quality that I know of. might submit a ticket on trac for that.

nope, nothing implemented that takes over the order of tvheadend. same as above, might ticket it Smile

the epg is working perfectly here. what version/revision of xbmc are you using?

both are not (fully) implemented

Quote:-Every now and then xbmc will crah while playing a channel. I've been looking at the crash logs, and from what I can gather (not too sure on this one), it crashes if tvheadend says the signal is too weak
yup, that's an issue with the latest pvr-testing2 branch. is your signal weak?

Quote:and finally, are there any other skins with the tv interface available? Or is there any way I could hack it into the alaska skin?
no and yes

Then what I wanted to post, I merged pvr-testing2 into the latest trunk: git://github.com/opdenkamp/xbmc.git
Please note that this is experimental, but I haven't seen any issues so far.

I uploaded it to my testing ppa ( https://launchpad.net/~lars-opdenkamp/+archive/xbmc-diskless-test ), but it's still building at the moment and I'm not sure that the ppa build will succeed because this is the first upload of this version. Manually building the version on github will work just fine.

I haven't fully merged the project files for vs2008 and xcode yet. I'll look into that later, but someone else will have to check if it's ok Smile

edit:
forgot to include 2 zips in the ppa upload last time so it failed at the very end. uploading a new one now.

- opdenkamp - 2010-10-17

the packages have been built succesfully and can be found on my testing ppa:
https://launchpad.net/~lars-opdenkamp/+archive/xbmc-diskless-test

(lucid only at the moment, sorry)

moontan77 Wrote:is anyone using the technotrend s2-3600? and if so, what drivers are you using?

I'm using the s2-liplianin drivers, but i get non stop continuity counter errors with it as well as DTS discontinuity errors on HD channels. It has nothing to do with reception as i also have two tevii s650 connected to the same dish and they work fine.

Heres an example showing the errors that I got in just 15 or so seconds of recordings.

If anyone has a solution it would be great!

Just a quick question moontan77. Did you or anybody else solved this problem. I have a s2-3600 as well and got the same errors.
