ERROR: Unknown option jtv

Your librtmp is not up to date. I am not sure where you'll get one for OSX. Maybe the one by HansMayer here is up to date: http://forum.xbmc.org/showpost.php?p=1035737&postcount=184

Thanks for being patient with me guys! Updating to the lib file in HansMeyer's post did the trick! Super exciting, thanks guys!

Yeah, it's me again! Everything still works though, that's not my issue - in testing this out I've managed to freeze up XBMC a couple times now by accidentally hitting the seek buttons while playing a stream. This isn't too big a deal for me, but if I set this up for my lady and that happens to her I'm going to have problems fast.

I gotta make this girlfriend proof - any way to disable seek functions while streaming - or am I missing something?

I get that issue too would be nice if it could be fixed. Is there any way to change the resolution of the stream? The streams I watch have multiple available resolutions and there seems to be problems streaming 720p so I would like to bump it down to 480p.

Sorry, don't think there is anyway to disable seeking.

I've never noticed any channels with multiple streams. If you could get me the channel name of one or two, I'll check into it.

replacing file chown mobile librtmp.0.dylib - altanava - 2012-03-08

I don't know what this means. What do I have to do?

"After replacing the file you need to change owner "chown mobile librtmp.0.dylib" "

thanks for help

http://www.twitch.tv/esltv_event3
http://www.twitch.tv/sokushd
http://www.twitch.tv/liquidsheth

I know all those urls are for twitch.tv , but twitch.tv is essentially justin.tv but with a different url . I'm fairly sure the multiple stream (quality wise) is only available to justin.tv partners , but it's fairly common that the most popular streams in the gaming section have it available.

Had a quick look at how addons work as I only have experience with XBMC scripts and because they are just giving XBMC locations of media to playback I guess you can't fiddle with the ability to seek. I think this does fall under the 'bug' category for general XBMC development though, maybe someone could submit it to the bug tracker?

I think the different quality streams are separate channels. When I searched for esltv in the add-on, it returned eight different channels, some are labeled HD some aren't. For example there is esltv_event3 and esltv_event3_hd channels.

It's a terminal command to change the owner of the file. Some have reported that this isn't necessary. If you have replaced the file and still can't get streams to play. From a terminal you would type
Code:
chown mobile path/to/librtmp.0.dylib
replacing "path/to" with the actual path.
