I uploaded weather.com+ for Dharma addon onto nuka's repo.
So you can install and update from the repo.

[NOTE] I added "codes.txt" file in this addon's folder. It'll be updated if any code changes or addition, so I expect skinners can use the txt file as a reference easily.

brightstr I am using Confluence Mod Movie Sets skin

I took all confluence files for weather and put into this directory
/private/var/mobile/Library/Preferences/XBMC/addons/skin.confluence.moviesets

applying a mod to an already modded skin is likely to cause breakage.

Ok then how do I apply it to the non-modded Confluence
when I put all the files in /Applications/XBMC.frappliance/XBMCData/XBMCHome/addons/skin.confluence
the main screen becomes black and shows nothing

having two copies of the same skin in your addons folder is likely to cause breakage too.
not sure if that's your issue though...

Thanks for the thought, but that is not the issue, I tried your idea and only had one confluence, in the directory mentioned above and unistalled moviesets and still it gave me a big black home screen with no menus,

Anyone have any other ideas

I don't think it does. I made a copy of my confluence skin, renamed it (both the folder and in the XML), applied the mods listed at the link, and it seems to be working fine, at least as far as I can tell.

although it wasn't causing any major damage,
it's still pretty silly of me not to think about that.

Thank you now I have redone my ATV last night, clean start, I now have one Conlfuence here onmy ATV2
/Applications/XBMC.frappliance/XBMCData/XBMCHome/addons/skin.confluence
I took the files you menitioned above, put them into this directory, first is that correct?
Next I rebooted the ATV, back into XBMC and the home screen is totally black no menus nothing

So the question is what am I doing wrong can anyone help me, am I putting the files in teh correct directory??

Since downloading the map icons using the configuration menu doesn't seem to be working, I manually downloaded the zip file from the first posting. However, I wasn't able to find anything specifying where the files should be placed. Can someone tell me what directory the map icon files should be unzipped into?
