Thx

This feature is in the pipe-line ....
In the case you have childrens, it is really better to provide them a copy instead of a original dvd.

Hi Luemmel. I am getting an error with your Luxeria Repository. I am getting the same error as this user http://code.google.com/p/luxeria-repository/issues/detail?id=1#c1

I am running Dharma on ubuntu 10.04. Any ideas on why it might not be working?

- adave - 2011-02-05

Ok. I got it working. I used the 0.6.18 zip that Luemmel gave a link to from the previous page on the forum. I installed the add-on directly from the zip and it worked.

I am running into a couple of other issues that I will post about. Just wanted to let everyone know that installing from the zip worked.

- chippyash - 2011-02-13

Installing from your .18 zip file and then running the setup.sh script I get

Quote:the installation of akemkv-v1.6.3-bin_20101219-1_amd64.deb
was not successfull.
please do confirm that the installation was not successfull.

press any key to continue ..

And then the script just stops and returns to command line.

I had previously opted to install makemkv (as my machine has a bluray drive on it.)

If I run setup again and don't elect to install makemkv then when I start the program inside XBMC, it just locks up xbmc requiring a hard reboot of the machine.

Looking at the xbmc debug log it gets no further than start swiss-army-knife and then stops dead - no further output.

Can you let me know what else I can try and do to provide additional feedback. I'd really like to get this addon working. Current machine etc as per sig below.

- chippyash - 2011-02-14

Found the problem:

dpkg -i akemkv-v1.6.3-bin_20101219-1_amd64.deb

should be
dpkg -i makemkv-v1.6.3-bin_20101219-1_amd64.deb

on line 749 of setup.sh

- linuxluemmel - 2011-02-14

Change it ... soon on svn code
Thanks for the feedback

Deinstallation shouldn't remove SSH - chippyash - 2011-02-14

Here's another gotcha.

Deinstall script removes ssh from the machine. It should not do this automatically. I nearly had a panic attack after running it and finding I couldn't ssh into my xbmc box.

SSH is a common tool for XBMCers on Linux . Deinstall script should ask user first before doing it.

Cheers

MakeMKV - chippyash - 2011-02-14

The version of makemkv that you are supplying from your svn is out of date. Recommend you go to current version which is 1.6.4. It'll save some grief when trying to run.

SAK freezes XBMC - chippyash - 2011-02-14

having gotten over the problem of makemkv, when I now click on the program, xbmc freezes and I see the following in the xbmc log

and that's it.
There is no option other than switch to a terminal an reboot.

Are there other logs I can look at or perhaps some other setting for SAK I can configure to get some meaningful debug output?

Can you execute a command over ssh without a password ?

- chippyash - 2011-02-15

linuxluemmel Wrote:Can you execute a command over ssh without a password ?

No.

I've removed the ssh files and run the batch script commands by hand to create the SSH files but still can't execute commands without having to enter the password.

I'm actually ssh'ing into the box from another machine to do this. Would that have some impact? Do I perhaps need to get a terminal up on the box itself and run the commands?

Yes ... on the box you have swiss army knife installed it should be possible
to execute the ssh-command without password ....

In the case you have to type a password , please run setup.sh again and do
configure the ssh-server.

OK, I've gone into a terminal on the machine itself, deleted all the .shh folder files and rerun the setup.sh script.

Still no joy. If I try 'ssh xbmc@localhost' I am still required to enter a password despite not having entered one in when ssh-keygen was run in the setup script.

So, what next? I had a look at man ssh and man ssh_config but there is no way to pass a password on the command line using ssh
