I'm so confused. - iamkewl - 2009-06-11

I have Aeon on my laptop that im using for my media center. It's running Ubuntu 8.10 (9.04 makes xbmc lag badly).

Anyway. I'm flustered.
I've added a bunch of tv shows (the big bang theory and good eats) but they look horrible in Aeon because they have no "art" so the covers are blank.

How do I get the art? and for each individual show?

Thanks. Anything I can do to help with this? and possibly make everything look like the screenshots I see?

Best way to start learning is to

- add source ( select where your shows are )

- when you see the tv show link in your xbmc press C on teh keyboard and select set content

- in the options select tv shows as the content of your media

When you now update the media you will find zbmc scraper will grab show information and art for you.

I tend not to use xbmc scrapers but use MIP instead

Basically install MIP and load your tv shows into it. MIP will download all data and create nfo files for all your shows which will be loaded into xbmc.

I haven't gotten it to work at all under wine (nor Media Companion). I'm thinking about making a really simple one myself so that I can have something.

MIP and MC work perfectly fine under WINE.

u sure? just tested mip under wine, and its not starting, i have mono installed, wich is like net framework for linux, how did u get it to work?

I tried installing MIP in wine but it wouldn't start.

Umm. I set the content and everything, but it's not grabbing the info and stuff..

do I have to do something else to update it?

If i recall i installed dotnet via winetricks. It's been awhile however.
I can assure you that I have it running /w WINE on linux.
This is better suited in the main MIP thread, please ask there.
