purge settings didn't help with posters.
another bug i found is updating musiclibrary the update widow is on top when playing video. don't think it is like that when updating movie library, but i can tast it when music library is done updating. yep when updating movies the picture is on top like it should.

this mod is a skin of it's own. no need to download anything else except the fonts. see the wiki.

no, it uses it's own library like the others. but it handles more sources while scraping. that is perfect for me, since it can scrape for movie nfo at imdb while getting plot, rating etc. from ofdb (the german database) and checks a lot of sources for the images, so most of the time you'll get more images than in an "ordinary" scrape within xbmc.
too bad it does not work for tv shows and music yet.

Ember Media Manager was great added every thing i wanted apart from xmbc not picking up some of the extrathumbs, not sure why it show all the others.
Is there the same sort of program for tv shows?

check if the movies that do not show up extrathumbs are stacked, i.e.
movie-cd1.avi
movie-cd2.avi
in that case follow the guide in 1st post (replace option name mod tweaks with showmix to find the right place).
also make sure there is no : in your movie title.
