Yesterday, I was in hoops and loops trying to figure why is Aeon so slow when browsing movies. I enabled developer mode and I noticed the FPS dropping 13 FPS... This is not normal isnt it..?
so I unistalled everything, changed the driver, and now I am scanning 310 plus movies which is a lengthy process!
Anyways, I like the idea of multiplex thumbs so much.. But making those thumbs is really a headache.. so I thought of a way to make it easier for us.. when I bookmark a certain time it takes a screenshot of the movie. I assume it saves the thumb somewhere.. Could it be possible to make this particular screenshot of the bookmark in the movie folder under an extrathumbs folder, and name it thumb1..?
I know I am shooting for the stars.. But, everything is possible isnt it?
i don't even get ANYTHING out of your post, sorry.
what are you referring to? extrathumbs? movie posters? Scene stills?
For an easy extrathumb handling i suggest trying Ember Media Manager.

tried them. they are png files renamed to jpgs - unusable as being extrathumbs.
and it's way easier and comfortable to create those thumbs in emm.

Does Showmix support the Home Theater Experience plugin? Or are there plans to? I am getting confused with all the Aeon versions out there. I'd love to be able to turn this on and have the plugin automatically run before I fire off a movie or playlist.

i am using the new low list at the moment.
With info set on auto and after the thumbs pop up, pressing right
the extrathumbs dissapear and you see the fanart again,
but they pop up again after a second.
Maybe this can be fixed. Would be useful for me and hopefuly some others too.

that's why it's called "auto". set to "trigger" if you won't like to have them displayed every time.

neither me nor andy like that "random trailer in front of a movie" behaviour. if we want to see a movie, we want that movie and nothing else. for a trailer show we use that apple plugin.
so we will not include it.. sorry.
(of course you can add it by your own)

No problem, I understand. Makes sense to me why you would not want to code it in there. I'll look at the other mods that included it and see how tough it might be to add. In other mods, I think they had an on/off switch for it which was off by default so it really didn't hurt anything.
But if you as the coders won't ever use it then I could certainly see why you wouldn't be interested in putting in the work to include it.

If you have time could you add this startup playlist option into settings http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=53775&highlight=STARTUP+PLAYLIST. I was able to get it working with very early version of your mod but cant get it to work with any of your updated releases.
