- patkhoo - 2009-07-23 soder Wrote:WTF! When standing on "weather" and press "ok" to change location, my backgrounds goes MAD, and shuffle themself really really fast`? Hi Soder, I reported this back in post 745.. http://www.xbmc.org/forum/showpost.php?p=368060&postcount=745 It also happens to the Settings page. The cause of this is if you set the backdrop of Weather or Settings to a folder of images. Normally, it rotates in a nice smooth manner. But if you click "in" to Settings or choose a Weather location, then it flips through all the images at high speed. Choose a single image instead of a folder for Weather and Settings... - soder - 2009-07-23 patkhoo Wrote:Hi Soder, Well if I only set ONE image, there really nothing it can cycle trough...but I want to use a folder for my backgrounds.. This cant be a huge problem, difficult to solve? /Söder - zwat - 2009-07-23 soder Wrote:Well if I only set ONE image, there really nothing it can cycle trough...but I want to use a folder for my backgrounds.. read it would be better to put different folders for different category. so for movies put the backgrounds you want there in a movies backdrop and for music fix a music backdrop folder. this was recomended cause moving from one category to next it didn't change backdrop. - soder - 2009-07-23 zwat Wrote:read it would be better to put different folders for different category. so for movies put the backgrounds you want there in a movies backdrop and for music fix a music backdrop folder. Sorry, I only understod about 10 % of what you wrote? /Söder - zwat - 2009-07-23 soder Wrote:Sorry, I only understod about 10 % of what you wrote? hmm ok i'll try to explain better i think you need to put the backdrops you want for different categories in separate folders. so for movies you put them in \backdrop\movies and for music you put them in \backdrop\music this is so the backdrops change when you switch categories was that better explaind? - soder - 2009-07-23 zwat Wrote:hmm ok i'll try to explain better Of course is this the way I have it? If I dont, how shall I then only display music backgrounds when on Music, and Movie background when on Movies, and weather backgrounds when ...... /Söder - zwat - 2009-07-23 ahh so you want different backdrops for weather too? i thought you had only one folder with every backdrop. - soder - 2009-07-23 zwat Wrote:ahh so you want different backdrops for weather too? i thought you had only one folder with every backdrop. I have, and I always had, different folders for different menu's. /backdrops/movies /backdrops/tvshows /backdrops/weather Everything works great, BUT when I press OK on the weather menu, to change with location I want the weather info for, the backdrops starts to shuffle fast, very fast. Not normal, lika a new every 15 sec, but 2-3 in a sec. /Söder - logictester - 2009-07-23 just point your weather to /media/backdrops/weather and set the conditional weather on in settings - soder - 2009-07-23 logictester Wrote:just point your weather to /media/backdrops/weather and set the conditional weather on in settings What does the option "conditional weather" do? I dont understand why the weather background NOW works different then the others? /Söder - logictester - 2009-07-23 there is a bug that makes the backdrops switch fast in weather and settings - i believe andy will fix it eventually - like he did so far conditional weather means - the backdrop for weather is changed by the weather conditions and time of a day - for example - in the morning you will see a bright morning image - and at night you will see a dark night image - soder - 2009-07-23 logictester Wrote:there is a bug that makes the backdrops switch fast in weather and settings - i believe andy will fix it eventually - like he did so far How does the skin know what backdrops I use, and which of them that are "sunny" or not? /Söder - azido - 2009-07-23 andy, finally, after fooling around with your mod, i guess the fullscreen multiplex view in movies is fantastic - a must have. i don't wanna miss it anymore. when it comes to the music section inside albums (meaning displaying the titles), naturally the list view is in most situations the best view to stick with, since we don't have that much graphical intense we have with posters, extrathumbs and so on. for artist view, even album view that full screen multiplex view can become handy when filled with informations, too.. but, well.. the fullscreen list view in fact "hurts my eyes", it covers most of the fanart and isn't that nice. for me this view looks like it's being "unfinished". i wish you could do one of those 2 things: 1. either enable a switch that makes it possible to use fullscreen in movie section/tv section only, but leave music section in the default view state (get me here? i mean no fullscreen for music) or 2. revert the textures for fullscreen list view in the music section to stay the way it would be on "normal" list view, thus showing more of the fanart in background and not covering most of the screen with a dark texture. i don't even think we need such a big-sized cover artwork image here. willing to follow me here? - logictester - 2009-07-23 here is a link to a thread that shows how to fix this settings and weather bug: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=54273 if you use conditional weather - you can't use your own backdrops - there is a predefiened backdrops folder for that at /media/backdrops/weather, in general the backdrops have to be set in numbered folders like 00=sunny 01=rain and so on and then xbmc knows how to pull and image according to the current condition - soder - 2009-07-23 logictester Wrote:here is a link to a thread that shows how to fix this settings and weather bug: Cool. That I gonna use. But, the fix for the bug, isnt better to let Andy fix that, or it will fuck up my "git pull"? /Söder |
