You're correctSmile. But OpenElec is running 12.2 Git:d1002b4 apparently. That's post 12.2 and not the official stable version.

But yeah I find it hard to believe that I am the only one Smile
PR:3875 should fix this. Plays perfectly here

Did you read the changelog? Make sure Settings->System->Internet access->Internet connection bandwidth limitation (Innstillinger->System->Internettilgang->Båndbreddebegrensning) is set correctly.

I know. It's not supported to work in 12.2. Did you read the last couple of pages?

I don't know exactly. Any recent alpha to be able to play it. To get anything watchable you either need to apply and compile the patch I linked to yourself, or wait till it's included in xbmc. Should make it in Gotham beta 1 or 2.

if you like to live a bit on the edge you can always upgrade your entire XBMC to Gotham beta, what platform are you on ?

RE: [RELEASE] Norwegian NRK Web-TV (Video) Plugin - magnulu - 2013-12-26

Me being known to use huge amounts of time and effort to solve problems like this, I have this time chosen a very simple work-around that I would like to mention.

I use the advanced launcher plugin to launch firefox from within xbmc - streaming works and problem solved.

If anyone wants to do this, a few tips might be handy:
1. Create a new profile in firefox (on linux this is done by the command line argument -ProfileManager)
2. Set the start page to tv.nrk.no or tv.nrk.no/direkte/nrk1 or whatever
3. Put firefox in full-screen and then exit with ALT-F4
4. In advanced launcher, make firefox start with the arguments "-P xbmc -no-remote"

I also think the advanced launcher plugin is marked as broken in the official repositories, but a quick google search should help you on how to install angelcry's repository manually.

Hope this saves at least one soul some hours of frustration :-)

EDIT: I am running frodo 12.2 on xubuntu 13.10, installed from ppa.

RE: [RELEASE] Norwegian NRK Web-TV (Video) Plugin - Senilix - 2013-12-26

takoi:
patch? i can't find it...(still searching)..... is there a compiled version?

tried nightly right now.... XBMC 13.0-APLHA11 git: 20131226-51273E5 (Compiled: dec 26 2013).
Same result, video plays, but resolution is: 320x180

it takes about 9 seconds to start video, then it plays for 19seconds, befor it freezez.
my UpLink is fiber, 30Mbit.

this may all be an xbmc player issue, witch may be solved in the patch?

the web browser uses 3 seconds, to start and stream successfully in hd......

is there anything that i can try?

RE: [RELEASE] Norwegian NRK Web-TV (Video) Plugin - Senilix - 2013-12-29

Update:
Okay so i compiled XBMC master branch with the HLS patch. (vs2010/DirectX)
And now it plays the streams in HD! Smile success!
startup time is ok now. video is ok.

However.... after 30sec -> 2min i'm sometimes getting buffering issues... this seems to repeat at non regular intervals....

Is there anything that can be done with that?
