How to bring up terminal, console, shell? - Ozman - 2009-06-17

If I press ctrl-alt-f1 while xbmc is running, I just get a blinking cursor. I have to exit xbmc to get to a shell.

Is there a way of bringing up a shell without quitting xbmc?

Thanks

I'm going to assume you're on about Live, since you didn't specify... Pretty sure xbmc is launched from tty1. Try tty2, I dunno if the extras are disabled or not.

Yep, crtl-alt-F2 took me to the shell and crtl-alt-F7 took me back to xbmc.

Nod

Thanks

BTW, I am using the svn I d/l 2 days ago.
