Jezz:
I'm using your skin on the xbox, with the latest t3ch unstable version.
When I start the Apple Movie Trailer script, I have only 5 to 8 MB of ram free, so I can't watch any trailers.
Using normal Mediastream, or PMIII.HD, I have between 21 and 26 MB of free ram.
Do you know what could be wrong?
Here's the log in case you can find something:

Honestly I have no idea it might have to be somthing that Nuka1195 will have to look into because I don't do anything really different on this one than the original maybe the background just takes up a huge amount of ram :\

Jezz_X,

How can I add a submenu to Programs and Pictures? I believe these were present on the original MediaStream. Thanks for a great skin!

Any chance of a background option? So you could browse to a lower res picture perhaps?

Just change the image in backgrounds folder.

- FourTwentySmilz - 2009-08-02

take the original images......run them through IRFanView @ 960x540.

This will cut down on the RAM issue, if using Xbox.

Jezz_X Wrote:Not going to add it personally because it looks great and very readable on my 1080p sony tv Smile but if you open up font.xml in the 720p dir and up the size number in here a little and reload the skin it should affect all the plots ( and a couple of other things )
PHP Code:
<font>
    <
name>font12</name>
    <
filename>Default.ttf</filename>
    <
size>16</size>
</
font
The other option is search through ViewsVideoLibrary.xml for type="textbox" and change the <font> tag to "font13"

I changed this in ViewsVideoLibrary.xml like stated and looks great. Now, where can I bump it up for the Plot Summery when the OSD is brought up?

Also, where can I bump the Movie titles in most of the views? I would also like to make them bold.'
Thanks.

I saw your mod thread and some posts on instructions with 'gits' and using Windows or Linux, but neither help me out since I'm using XBMC on a Mac. Wink

Is there a Mediastream_Redux skin version (either .95 or .96) with your mods already installed?

I'm running Linux with XBMC will this work in any version XBMC? I ask because I'm getting a Incompatible Skin error. Says "we require skins of version 2.00 or higher."

make sure the skin is not in a folder. the root folder must have all the files in it. sometimes when you unzip, it puts the skin folder inside another folder.

So it shouldn't be in a folder called Mediastream_Redux? All the internal files should be in the root skins folder?

it should be mediastram redux>files
not mediastream redux>mediastream redux>files

if it is like the first line, then I can only think your build of xbmc may be too old.
