Sure, i like it very much. I think that this must be added as an option into the skin configuration settings (display weather info on all menus) and may be that the fading effect too...

keep in mind my specs. i dont know how much this will stress a system
( especially with animated weather + videoOSD at the same time )
a toggle would be awesome... any tips on how 1 would go about setting it up ?

i've configured Y-key to be sent by my remote and added
<y>XBMC.ReloadSkin</y>
to the <keyboard> section of my modified keyboard.xml. i'm sure something similar can be done for updating databases, since they can be triggered by a button onscreen. my further guess is you can't assign multiple actions that need to be executed one after the other to a single keystroke (in our case update video database, then update music database), so you might need to assign 2 buttons on your remote for each action.
i'd say <key_to_use>XBMC.UpdateLibrary(video)</key_to_use> and <key_to_use>XBMC.UpdateLibrary(music)</key_to_use> should work.

I've had her at the breaking point a few times with all the changes I make to the Media Center and also how much time I spend on the laptop modding at home.....so now I do most of my modding at work haha

..mine is not even willing to learn the keys on the mce remote, so i can change what i like and when i like - until she wants to watch a movie ofcourse. but if then something does not work as it is supposed to, i have a worst case scenario - then she's yelling at me "damned, you've spent the whole week on that crap instead of having some time for me and the kids - and now i cannot even watch that film?!?"

maybe i should ask jezze_x.. but you might know it, too. if i would like to have the ability to create a switch in the skin settings screen of another skin, which enables/disables a certain entry in the home screeen submenu, like i.e. i would like to turn on/off year selection display on music submenu - which of the xml files are affected to get this running?
i ask because i see these switches here in this skin and would like to adopt that feature for aeon. and yes, i would like to learn how to do stuff instead of asking for it to be done

Want to try and stick the MPAA rating where the imdb stars are (at least on info wrap)? Also maybe place the studio logo at the send of the flagging string?

I'm not sure what DJH has named the xml files for Aeon, but for Redux, you'd want to look at these -
custom_SkinSetting_1111.xml (the skin settings screen)
home.xml (for the menus/submenus)

You have stars in Info Wrap view?
Can you post a screenshot of your Info Wrap view? I only have stars in Poster Wrap.I'd like to add the studio at the end of flagging, but I'm going to need all the logos, you got em?
