djh_,

I presume this is your own debug mode? I'm not that in-tune with the current skin development process, but I wasn't aware that the built in xbmc debug mode would gridafy (new word, patent pending) the screen.

There's so little code in this picture wall that you could do loads of different grid options with very little overhead, so I suspect I'll do that. I've tried out 4x3, 7x2 and 7x1 so far. I'll also put in an optional clear-out of the screen if you idle for a few seconds, so you get a proper view of the artwork without the whole click/back business. There'll also be a few options for the 'fogginess' of the backdrop, though nothing too drastic.

As for the Music Wall, it currently has a few unwelcome features similar to the old Aeon wall, but until there's a proper control for wall browsers there's little I can do. Again, there'll be opacity options for the cloudiness here as it's currently prettier than it is functional. That's inevitable, really, given the unique demands of the skin's overall layout. That animations for the entire skin are looking fantastic at the moment.

What RSS feed is that?

- djh_ - 2009-07-24

It's the default one.

- Hitcher - 2009-07-24

I thought the default one was Xbox-Scene?

- watzen - 2009-07-24

that was a very long time ago

How about a little preview on youtube? I would love to see some of the effects in action

Really is looking beautiful. Thank you for all of your efforts, we appreciate you greatly.

Against my better judgement I'll see about doing one this evening. Strictly as an animation test, you understand.

Sweet, looking forward to the "animation test".. Take your time with the skin Duncan, there are plenty of people waiting with bated breath for it (myself included) but we can all wait longer considering a couple of weeks ago we knew nothing of this skin.

There's a brief video clip down at the bottom. Again, this is simply an animation demo - no complaints about layout or images, please.

holy hell! nice work! youve outdone yourself on this one, its jaw-dropingly beautiful.. Yes there are a few placement issues but your ontop of that by the sounds of things..
Really small thing that made me go wow was when you entered the movie information and the cover slid to the left.. yes it was a small detail but its the little details that count!
Looking really good, cant wait..

I just checked out the video, VERY slick and responsive seeming. Love the simplistic approach. But more than that, I noticed this will be a well commented skin to make modders lives easier. I commend you sharing your vast knowledge with the rest of us. Super kind of you. Thank you. I look forward to more great things from you.

Impressive.

Looks really really great, keep up the good work
