whufclee Wrote:Would it be possible to have the option of searching by genre somewhere in slide view? Currently it's all a bit of a performance to try and find the page where you search by Genre, Title, Year, Studio etc. I'm not fussed about studio, year and all the others but genre I use a fair bit, especially when kids are over and I can just list the family films for them. If it can't be added then would someone be able to let me know how to change where the Movies button on the home screen takes me to? I would like it to take me directly to the Search by Title, Genre, Studio, Actors etc. screen if poss. Thanks in advance.

Look here . With this you can go directly from home screen to the genre list :

SWEET, thanks that's done the trick. I removed the last "1/" from the code you linked to and it takes me exactly where I want to be (in the menu which gives options of genre, title, actors, studio etc.)

Nice one.

is it possible to show the xbmc revision / transparency version in use?

if you got to settings, and then to system info, it'll show under the basic info (at the bottom).

Seems like that worked espect from all the language or text are out of box its a skin problem and nothing else anyways
How to get http://i687.photobucket.com/albums/vv237/roniez/Transparency/episodes-fanart.jpg stuff like that working?

I also try to understand how to get the IMDB info but nothing looks like it to on the pic on the xbox i don´t relly get what im doing wrong

I mean is it complicated i have got the pic on seasons to work. But all this IMDB info and all the good view does it only work on a PC/Linux/Appel or does it also works on Xbox
And are it complicated to get? Cuz i can´t get what im doing wrong and can´t get how it is made think most of it was automatic :/

i've modified the cdart code to allow for multiple disc albums and i thought i'd share. i just changed one line in MusicVisualization.xml (line 107)

from:
Code:
<texture diffuse="disc_mask.png">$INFO[Skin.String(Music_Folder_Path)]$INFO[musicplayer.artist]/$INFO[musicplayer.album]/cdart.png</texture>

to:
Code:
<texture diffuse="disc_mask.png">$INFO[Skin.String(Music_Folder_Path)]$INFO[musicplayer.artist]/$INFO[musicplayer.album]/cdart$INFO[musicplayer.DiscNumber].png</texture>

and then in the folder, just use cdart01.png, cdart02.png, etc. make sure you pad the number (do not cdart1.png).

disclaimer: this only works if you don't have "(Disc 1)" or something in the album tag and have all the files in the same folder. may only be my setup, but i thought i'd share it anyway.

Im running this skin on XBOX platform and it works fine. That screenshot you posted is simply a view within the TV Shows option, I believe its Fanart view, and the same view can be applied for Movies. To get fanart, simply make sure you use the proper scraper for Movies, such as themoviedb, or tvdb for TV Shows and the fanart will be downloaded. If it hasnt, simply highlight the movie, click the white button and select Movie Information and from there click the Fanart button and download the fanart of your choosing.

A little bit ago I was trying a much older version of Transparency! as an option on my touchscreen. I've been gone, so I've been out of the loop.

I just download 1.03 and have been trying it. It works pretty good for touchscreen, but you still need a mouse or keyboard. Mainly it not having a back key function on most of the screens is the problem. If there were an option to have one appear then this would be ideal. Some screens do have it, like in video and music at the file level, there is the back arrow, but several screens would have no way of getting back to the main menu without a keyboard or mouse.

I understand this skin is not intended for touchscreen use, and really, it doesn't have to be. I just thought somewhere down the line you might see if it is even possible. I would do it myself, but just installing skins taxes my computer skills.

Oh, I can't for the life of me get the menu on the left to pop out on the home screen so I can add buttons to the menu. I most be doing soething wrong as I am pretty sure thats what the FAQ says to do. Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

I think you're referring to Skin Settings which is a pop up screen within the Settings screen. Just go all the way to the left after entering the Settings area and it should pop up. Just go to the Home Window tab and select or deselect the "No x Menu" depending on your desires.

Yep, thats where I was going wrong. Much better now. I gotta say, I'm really warming up to this skin.

for music: Settings > Music > Library > Default Scraper
for videos: in filemode, select Add Source > browse to the folder you want to add to the library > Set Content > select Movies, TV Shows or Music Videos > pick the scraper you want.
