I would like to try this script on my XBMC running ShowMix. I use the linux version.
ATM the the Apple Movie Trailer Lite doesn't work that well for me, and would like to use a video (in 720p or 1080p) of some red curtains that "opens up". Like in a cinema.
Does someone know anything about a video like that?

Will try that. I found the guide for making my own FOX intro to. That was pretty cool and Im rendering right now. BUT, on youtube, I also saw this clip, but on that clip they had added transparent curtains. THAT was cool, and I would like to do that instead.
But the url in that clip isn't working. Does someone know where a guide for that is?

Also, it would be great if the scripts could first play like 3 random clips from a folder, and then play a special clip just before the movie starts.

esc esc to end the slide show. as far as skipping trailers, I dont think thats possible. You have to sit through crappy previews in the theater. If your worried about lame previews, download a bunch that you DO like and put them in a folder.

as for the red curtain, you will have to make that on your own.

I was able to skip previews by hitting the Skip key on my harmony remote...believe it's the XBMC command Skip Next.

once the videos start it's xbmc in control, so yes it would work the same as if you wueued a bunch of local videos.

Great. I think I will use a custom Fox clip instead of curtains, but big thanks for adding my request for the script.
BTW, does the script work with Apple Movie Trailer Lite? I'm having problem with it..

i didn't add anything yet. it has always done what it does.
