it work flawless on unrar:ed movies then the script auto saves it without any hustle.

you need to uncheck/deselect the "Movie Folder" and Choose the custom folder.

Please post the Debug Log if it still fails.

Yes, You are using the stable build and the Opensubtitles_OSD v 1.36 only works on SVN builds.

You need to manually install V1.28 or upgrade XBMC to SVN build.

Look at the first page for instructions

Im actually getting same error and i'm using latest ( as of today ) SVN ( windows version ) and latest plugin as of today. I can set plugins settings but cant actually use the script.

Works fine in PLex and OSX version of XBMC.

It happens on Windows sometimes....

Copy "script-OpenSubtitles_OSD-Aeon.xml" from C:\Documents and Settings\wb\Application Data\XBMC\scripts\OpenSubtitles_OSD\720p to C:\Documents and Settings\wb\Application Data\XBMC\skins\Hitcher_Aeon\720p

Copy everything from C:\Documents and Settings\wb\Application Data\XBMC\scripts\OpenSubtitles_OSD\media to C:\Documents and Settings\wb\Application Data\XBMC\skins\Hitcher_Aeon\media , do not replace the whole folder just add files

Let me know if it works.

Not all subtitles start to play. I'm not sure why. I'll post a debug log when I find the time.

I am aware of that, it can happen for two reasons, one is that sometimes subtitle file is not actual the correct sub file(error from the web site or similar), other the more frequent error is the XBMC not activating the sub file correctly and it throws error in a Debug Log. I have done endless tests to try and figure out why and when it happens and as far as I can see it is totally random. I would download same file 15-20 times without problems and sometimes it will have and error on the first try.

I have no idea how to replicate the problem as it is not consistent, that's what makes it so difficult to trace.

I have a question for everyone. How many of you would use the upload feature in the script. would anyone actually ever upload subs? If anyone is interested in beta testing the script with upload features please send me a PM.

Regards
Zeljko

I would make use of it for sure. I like to share...
It will make opensubtitles even better...

Do you know already why XBMC can't put the subtitle in the same folder as the movie or is it because I'm using the latest SVN's?
If the latest SVN's are the reason could you please make the appropriate tickets as you know exactly what is going wrong.
I have some more scripts that don't work properly anymore, so I guess there's something wrong with XBMC's python engine....

the only reason the XBMC cant't put the sub in the same movie folder is if the movie is on SMB drive or if the movie is in the RAR archive. Those are the only two reasons why the script would ask for the Custom folder.

I dont have any issues using the latest SVN builds on ATV, OSX and Win but I also dont have any RAR files or SMB drive.

that could be the problem ... Smile

try and reinstall OpenSubtitles_OSD. Remove it manually and reinstall.

If its still not working try locating OpenSubtitles_OSD/skins/Default. In there you will find media and 720p folder, copy "script-OpenSubtitles_OSD-Aeon.xml" from 720p folder to your skins 720p and everything from media to your skins media folder
